Ninety five Democrats voted “No” but the media blames the GOP

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

The financial crisis has boiled over. The Democrats who tried to hid it took a beating in yesterday’s vote on the 700 billion dollar bailout of the mortgage industry. They have no one but other Democrats to blame. This whole crisis was created, lock stock and barrel by greedy arrogant Democrats in and around the Clinton administration.

They created Fannie Mae, the quasi public corporation, to deliver mortgage money to many poor White and minority voters. They gave our money away to insure mortgages for far too many clients who could not pay for their new homes.

Nevertheless, this meant nothing to the Democrats because Fannie became their private piggybank. They just watched and slinked away as the whole thing collapsed. It’s all blowing up in their faces.

All they can do is cry racism and try to run away.

Until 2004 Franklin Raines, a Black man and one time Clinton Budget Director, ran Fannie Mae. During that period Raines repeatedly fabricated Fannie’s earnings reports to justify huge salaries and bonuses. In other words Raines and his staff lied out of sheer greed and it was shareholders and American taxpayers be damned.

Raines ran Fannie like a Ponzi scheme, relying on a sleeping federal government’s inability to detect his crimes. The whole operation was built on a never ending source of credit backed by,….. well actually nothing.

Now the very Congressional Democrats who enriched themselves on this scheme are trying to shovel our money onto it to make it disappear.

Fortunately for we taxpayers the House Republicans hid the shovel and stopped this outrage. They have stood up for us. Now we have to stand up for our warriors in the arena. Let our Republican leaders know you support them. They need us now more than anytime in our lifetimes.

Greedy Democrats

Along the way, Fannie Mae employees have donated substantial amounts of campaign cash to the very same Democrats that have the power to punish this thievery. It is laughable to think that leading Congressional Democrats like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd and Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid would do anything but what they have done: try to make this go away as fast as possible with no investigations. Each of these Democrats are hell bent on burying the stink from this mess with a pile of taxpayer money and endless feel good stories from a compliant overwhelmingly Democratic supporting media. We can’t let that happen.

Question D 3 and the “undecided voter”

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

After the first presidential debate, CBS / Knowledge Networks asked previously undecided voters, who saw it, which candidate is better prepared to be president. An overwhelming 78% said John McCain.

This result is not surprising.

America is basically a center Right country. When given a clear choice we vote conservative in most elections. Some of the largest beatings in presidential election history have been poured onto candidates perceived to be liberal by candidates perceived to be conservatives.
Recently the Battleground poll, a bipartisan polling firm, released this years edition of its well known and well respected likely voter survey.

Among the many questions it asks is number D 3. Battleground has been asking D 3 since at least June of 2002.

D 3 is about the voters themselves, so not surprisingly it’s the most regularly responded to question. It requires respondents to categorize themselves along the political scale. There is no other question like this that is as consistently asked each year.

D3 Asks, “When thinking about politics and government, do you consider yourself to be… very conservative, somewhat conservative, moderate, somewhat liberal, very liberal, unsure (refused)?” No party or candidate is mentioned.

The results are virtually the same every year. This year was no different. The numbers are as follows: 20% of likely voters called themselves very conservative, another 40% said they were somewhat conservative. For a total of 60%.

At the other end of the scale, 27% called themselves “somewhat liberal” and just 9% said they are “very liberal.” This 60/ 36 split is tightly in line with all previous results

The 60/36 split is clear. The message to John McCain should be clear. To finish strong and beat Barack Obama , he would be wise to go conservative hard right for the next six weeks.

Further proof

For the twenty four hours immediately after the debate, the Drudge Report surveyed its visitors and asked who won. A very impressive 404,000 one time only voters said John McCain by an even more impressive 68/30 with just 2 percent unable to decide. The Obama campaign has tried to spin this away by casted the Drudge Report as a rightward leaning site. If that is true this is even better news for McCain since the site gets an eye poping 29 million hits everyday. These numbers are very encouraging for the prospects of a McCain administration in January 2009.

Obama brought Al Gore’s face to last night’s debate

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

During last night’s debate, Fox caught Barack Obama making faces reminiscent of Al Gore’s impatient and disdainful smirks during a 2000 debate with George Bush.

9:24 PM While John McCain was explaining his support for an energy bill Obama voted against, Obama looked bored and fidgeted as he obviously took advice from an off stage coach.

9:43 PM McCain talked about Obama never touring Iraq during a 900 day stretch, Obama is caught with a disdainful smirk as he listened.

9: 46 PM While McCain was saying Obama doesn’t know the difference between a strategy and a tactic, Obama is shown with a smug look as he mouths, “That’s not true.”

9:53 PM Obama made schoolboy grimaces as McCain called him on publicly threatening Pakistan. He looked like he was caught lying.

9:56 PM Obama smirked and obviously used a point from his off stage coach; with a pseudo triumphant grin mentioned a song about “bombing Iran.”

10:11 PM McCain called Obama on his “no preconditions “ position on meeting some of the worst criminal dictators. Obama’s smirk signifies he’d been caught lying. Again his off stage coach prompts him with an answer which Obama runs through so fast it was obvious he memorized it and couldn’t wait to get through it.

10:15 PM Obama smirked again when McCain pressed the point that Obama’s answers need to be parsed.

10:31 PM McCain’s citing how General Petraus called Obama’s plan for withdrawing from Iraq dangerous, brings another Obama smirk.

10: 34 PM Obama’s final anxious smirk came when McCain said he understood little about the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We probably won’t see this list in the media, but viewers saw these smirks and grimaces and they will have an effect. Drudge’s 68/30 poll with McCain up, says it all.

The media can and will say Barack Obama won but the 321,000 people who voted and the 10 million who will read the results know who really won.

Sure Biden is a joke, but will Hillary Clinton take the bait?

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

Each day seems to bring news confirming that Joe Biden is a net minus for his ticket and talk of Hillary Clinton’s riding in to save the “Democrat’s year” gets louder.

Will she? Since everything she does is always about her, should she?

In June Barack Obama had the support of just 58% of former Hillary Clinton supporters and that has not changed. Worse still, the number who will vote for John McCain has grown seven points to 28%.

The AP reports Obama’ s Democratic base support is alarmingly low at 74%.

In 2000 Al Gore got 90%, in 2004 John Kerry got 89%, and both lost. No national polls show Obama getting higher than 86% and a Pew poll shows him getting just 70% of his own voters.

The same survey reports McCain is drawing 87% of Republican support. Some recent polls have shown him at 91%, but none have shown him below 87%.

Of course these numbers could be wiped away and Obama could win on sheer numbers of rank and file Democrats. The self identification of voters as Democrats over Republicans gives him a real edge.

The pollsters admit they keep track of how to contact the same voters over and over again. This suggests the numbers can be cooked.

Can Hillary bet her future on these numbers, can she rely on them?

Then, there is the Bradley factor. If the numbers were “clean” and untainted by race, Hillary could jump back in as Joe Biden’s replacement, secure about where she would land, but nothing’s sure in this year’s numbers.

Can Clinton be sure she can magically “cure” Obama’s Bradley factor?

I think she’s ready to start campaigning for 2012 on Nov. 5th. Her theme will be “I told you so.” Who could argue against her logic?

On September 23 Barack Obama reiterated his support for Biden and keeping him on his ticket. He defended his decision to select Biden over Hillary Clinton saying, “I am a great admirer of Sen. Clinton’s [,but]. Joe Biden is also an outstanding public servant, and I am very proud of the choice that I made.”

His praise sounds very faint. There could be more to this than meets the eye, but the odds are nothing will change.

“If you need me, call me.” Is this the worse response by a candidate ever?

Kevin “Coach” Collins

The mortgage crisis is now officially the grimmest and most threatening financial event of our lifetime. Democrats fingerprints are all over this mess and the fact that there are no Henry Waxman investigations is proof there are no Republicans to blame for this disaster.

Barack Obama knows this very well. He knows if he sets foot in Washington until this nightmare is history he will be nailed as the biggest average recipient of Fanny and Freddy money. Obama knows he will have to explain his ironclad connections to the biggest crooks in this mess. He must know he will be as much history as the mortgages collapsing all over America if he is there when simple and logical questions are asked and answers are demanded by a very angry American public.

At 4:30 PM on Wednesday Barack Obama made a public statement and held the first press conference he has granted in months. Even though he was surrounded by friends and supporters in the media, asking him questions designed to make John McCain look like an evil sorcerer for not allowing the chaste and pure Obama to jump on a joint statement, he made a terrible mess and a fool of himself. His comments about “multi-tasking” made it obvious that all he wanted was to get back to memorizing David Axlrod’s answers for Friday’s debate, but Obama’s remarks made his situation worse .

In a stunningly smug statement Obama, whose vote will be vital to any workable solution to this crisis, addressed his fellow Senators saying, “If you need me, call me.”

Senator Obama has spent all of his time trying to prepare for a debate that should not happen as John McCain has said. Both he and John McCain should be in Washington saving our nation, not on a college campus campaigning. If Obama sticks to his very ill advised position and sits on the stage in Mississippi by himself he will destroy himself.

The hubris is breathtaking, but not surprising.

Water cooler bullet points: Why we can’t afford Obama /Biden

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

Barack Obama can’t claim to have made a single difficult decision in his life. Sarah Palin’s decision to keep her Down’s suffering son is a bigger decision than Obama has ever made.

* Barack Obama supports Gay marriage, Gay adoptions Gay Scout Scout Masters and forcing Churches to have Gay workers.

*Barack Obama supports all abortions up to partial birth abortions and causing the death of miracle abortion surviving babies.

* Barack Obama was forced to admit he lied about not supporting the Born Alive Baby Protection Act. He voted against this bill three times and spoke forcefully against it while doing so.

* A July poll asked voters if they agreed that America is a land of liberty and justice for all. Just 29% of Democrats agreed while 72% of Republicans agreed. Rank and file Democrats really are different, they don’t admire America.

* No matter what he says, the Muslim world considers Obama a Muslim. His election would be seen by the seventh century mindset of the “Arab street” as a victory for Islam. By their law if your father was a Muslim you are a Muslim. To be a Muslim you need only attend a mosque, pray and say you are a Muslim just once in your life. You are never again not a Muslim.

* Biden took five deferrals to evade military service during Viet Nam. When it looked like his deferrals would run out he was classified 1-Y which meant he would go right after your grandmother’s draft. Have you ever heard of Biden having an asthma attack?

* In an effort to fool Catholics about his position on aborting the life of innocent babies, Joe Biden has lied about Church doctrine and was called on his lie by the Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Obama, helping his brother George with our money

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

That Barack Obama is a dangerous socialist is a given. His hard left orientation and what he would do if ever given the power of the White House and Congress should make Americans shutter.

Last December Obama slipped back into Washington to be the main sponsor of Senate Bill, 2433, The Global Poverty Act of 2007.

Obama’s bill will give our money away to the whole world. It’s a kowtowing new tax on the American taxpayers payable to the corrupt socialist United Nations, and no amount of lipstick can dress this pig up. The official description of the bill is as follows:

“A bill to require the President to …. further the United States foreign policy objective of promoting the reduction of global poverty, the elimination of extreme global poverty, and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goal of reducing by one-half the proportion of people worldwide, between 1990 and 2015, who live on less than $ 1 per day.”

George Obama, one of Barack’s many half brothers, would directly benefit from this bill. So Obama really does want to be “his brother’s keeper” only with our money. Finding and providing for every person in the world living on less than $1 per day will be a never ending source of graft and corruption carried out by people hate us but love our money. All we could do is watch and pay while President Obama writes the checks.

The cost to every single taxpaying couple in America would be $5,000 every year from now until poverty is eradicated, so that means every single year from now until doomsday.
When Obama gets the power, he will obligate the American taxpayers to an extra 65 billion dollar United Nations graft bill every year from now on.

If for no other reason than keep this bill bottled up Obama must be defeated.

Poll “internals” we can believe in? Maybe not.

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

I’m beginning to think the political world has been “punked” by the guys at Insider Advantage/Poll Position (IA/PP)

Yes I cherry picked this poll, but as you will note it is well deserved. See for yourself.

From Nevada a IA/PP Sept 11 poll reported John McCain winning the Black vote. I could stop there, but there is more. IA/PP says McCain gets a stunning SEVENTY THREE percent of Nevada’s 7% Black vote. From there, the poll of 518 Likely Voters reports McCain losing men 46/44, but winning 46/45 overall.

An IA/PP Virginia poll of 518 likely voters reported on Sept. 11, reported McCain losing Blacks 19/75 (no problem there) but also losing Hispanics 6/94. The Republican candidate is doing 19 points worse with Hispanics and getting three times as many Blacks as Hispanic voters?

From a Colorado poll of 508 likely votes published on Sept. 18, IA/PP reported McCain losing males 50/42. Colorado is 37% White males a group that gave George Bush 58% in 2004. National polls have McCain up 53/40 with White males. Since there are just 4% Blacks and 8% Hispanics in Colorado this is a very strange result.

A September 11, poll of 503 LVs in Michigan reporting McCain up 45/44 had him winning the 18-29s 50/37, but losing every other group by an average of 43/47. McCain also wins Hispanics 63/37, but next door in Ohio a poll of 503 LVs, released the same day, had McCain losing Hispanics 9/88.

In Ohio IA/PP has McCain up 48/47, although he wins Republicans 93/5 and gets 15% of Democrats.

In Florida, another IA/PP September 11 poll had McCain at 24/67 with Democrats and 85/11 with Republicans but had him winning just 50/42.

These are the internals you never see. Keep this in mind as you review poll headlines.

Barack Obama’s Jewish problem

by Kevin “Coach” Collins

It has been 88 years since Republican Warren Harding’s 43% was good enough to get him a plurality victory among Jewish voters. Since 1920, however, the Jewish voter had moved steadily left. Now maybe that is changing.

In 1996 Bill Clinton got 78% of the Jewish vote. In 2000 Al Gore got 79% and four years later John Kerry got 76%. These numbers reflect the extent to which Democratic presidential candidates have traditionally been able to rely upon the Jewish vote. Nevertheless, this year things seem to be changing. There are signs that the Jewish vote is becoming less monolithic and more willing to vote issues instead of reflexively Democratic.

While the safety and ultimate survival of Israel are important concerns to these voters, they are only part of the picture. Jewish voters are concerned about the security of America’s economy and long- term ability to compete in global markets.

A recent “J Street” national poll of Jewish adults shows just 62% favored Barack Obama. Interestingly the report cited this number as a way of “proving” Barack Obama has no problem with Jewish voters. Making believe a 14 point drop in support from an important voting block, won’t help and it certainly does prove Obama is in trouble with Jewish voters.

A new poll of New York State Jewish voters shows that just 54% support Obama. Given the importance of New York in Jewish life, this is a stunning number.

Recent polls in New Jersey, Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania tend to show that traditional Democratic voting blocks are moving away from Obama. There is every indication that Jewish voters are part of this movement.

Anyone who says Jews will give Obama the same old 75% has to prove it. So far it doesn’t look very likely.

A peek into Barack Obama’s health plan.

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

Barack Obama has said, “I believe in universal health care…”
While an Obama administration would be a disaster in many other ways, his plan for compulsory universal health care is one of the most dangerous.
Presumably it would be modeled after prominent universal health care systems such as the one Cubans “enjoy.” The National Post of Canada reports the Cuban plan brings these realities.
“ …. Cubans suffer long waits at government hospitals, while many services…. access to such rudimentary medicines as antibiotics and Aspirin can be limited, .. there are reports … citizens …. often must bring their own bed sheets and blankets while in care[ at Cuban hospitals]..”
The Center for Medicine in the Public Interest made these observations about universal health care.
In Canada citizens wait over 18 weeks for many serious medical treatments. One in six Canadians seeking treatment report being unable to even see a doctor.
If you need a heart operation in New York the wait is about seventeen days. In Sweden it’s 59 days and in Holland it’s fully 72 days.
In the United Kingdom, the five-year survival rate for patients diagnosed with breast cancer early on is 78 percent — compared to 98 percent for similar patients in America.
But we need not look beyond our borders to see universal health care horror stories. The Massachusetts plan, passed in 2006, is being swamped under by red ink and is already servicing 162% of expected enrollees.
A report from Oregon, the centerpiece of America’s universal health care experiment, makes one shutter. Earlier this summer Oregon informed a cancer patient that while it would not pay to cover her desperately needed medicine, it would help her commit suicide if she wished to die.
A final note on Oregon and its health care system: after twenty years of trying to get it right, there are still 15% of Oregonians who are uninsured. The “46 million uninsured” Obama likes to cite represents exactly 15% of our population.
