Obama’s TARP is actually a TRAP we must escape
By Kevin “Coach” Collins
Three weeks ago, even before Obama was Inaugurated this column said “The Chicago hoax may be unraveling.” It was already evident the wheels might be coming off Barack’s signature legislation: The Troubled Asset Relief Program known as TARP, but correctly understood as TRAP!
The basic wisdom of the American people always shines through the thickest political mud. WE recognize this scheme and hear TRAP as in “Socialism TRAP” instead of the gobbledygook Obama is saying.
Writing as “Poor Richard” Ben Franklin said “Necessity never made a good bargain.” The self delusional Democrats in Congress can fool themselves and think they’re tricking the American people with TARP, but Americans instinctively understand the wisdom of Franklin’s line and we don’t want to be herded into something we can’t undo.
The basic elements of TRAP are frightening overkill, and everybody outside Washington knows it. Americans are developing a growing awareness of the true aim of TRAP, hogtying America and stamping “SOCIALISM” on our forehead.
The numbers have reached the tipping point. Those that hear TRAP not TARP now outnumber the lemmings still clinging to the empty promise of socialism by enough that this monster may still be tamable.
What remains now is for America’s grownups to continue pressuring the liberal psychos in the House and Senate so we can start peeling off the few remaining decent Democrats. We must call them and talk sense to them.
We were asleep at the switch last November when a band of Marxist/socialist children flipped our country upside down. Now we have to fight back.
There are some good ideas on the table. Let’s look at just cutting taxes; demanding Congress get its snout out of our pockets. America’s the greatest country in the world. We can figure this out but EVERYBODY has to get involved.
Get the facts before you call your representatives. Go to our “Coach’s Favorites” page, read Tom Coburn’s breakdown of the TRAP, find a line that ticks you off the most and call. They listen to people who have their facts straight.
