Liberals around the country are learning some hard lessons. They assumed the “rich” would roll over “grin and bear it” and pay higher and higher taxes. They were wrong.

A New York billionaire has moved to Florida to escape being “soaked.” Almost certainly others will follow him to other low tax states.

A third of Maryland’s millionaires have run away depriving its sticky fingered liberals of over $ 100 million.

Liberals are like a little child who sees a ten dollar bill in her mother’s bag and can’t understand why or how Mommy can say “We don’t have any money.”

“But Mommy I see your money” comes to the child’s mind and the liberal’s mind. Liberals believe all money belongs to government and by extension to them.

This “if I see your money it’s mine” approach is being picked up by states across the country. Several have passed “get the rich to pay up” laws. They are in for a rude surprise.

Heavy truck sales in New Jersey: greedy liberals get a big surprise

In 1990 the Liberal Democrat Governor of New Jersey played the role of the child seeing and demanding her parents’ money and his state’s truck dealers paid dearly for it.

Heavy truck sales had been exempt from taxes. He saw a chance to close a budget gap by bringing the tax back. Halfway through the first year of the tax, heavy truck sales in New Jersey literally ended. Sales had plummeted from 702 to 12! The exemption was quickly reinstated.

People didn’t stop buying heavy trucks they stopped buying them in New Jersey, much to the delight of other states.

Liberals cry about balancing budgets “on the backs of the poor.” Now they’ll have to because the “evil” rich are running away from their confiscatory clutches.

Liberal Democrats are dangerous because they don’t understand economics. By definition they don’t understand America or how we became a great country so they don’t know what will kill America.

Several states are already locked into “I see your money so it’s mine” budgets. Even if they wanted to back away from this disastrous gimmick they couldn’t. The liberal politicians in these states will pat themselves on the back and tell their citizens their state budget is truly balanced. They will be lying and they know it.

The latest polling data released from Zogby and McLaughlin polls suggest Americans want Obama to keep his promise to raise taxes only on those earning more than $250,000 and govern under a system of checks and balances from the Congress.

Zogby’s sample of almost 4000 people, who voted last November, was apportioned to reflect Obama’s 53/46 victory over McCain. When he asked for a reaction if Obama dropped his promise not to raise taxes on those earning less than $250,000, 20% said it would make them less likely to vote for him. Since Obama drew 69.5 million votes this is a significant portion of the electorate.

McLaughlin’s latest survey shows by a 51/41 margin voters want checks on Obama’s power which was a dramatic change from a pre Inauguration survey showing a 47/40 split in favor of letting Obama do whatever he wants.

McLaughlin’s data suggests the way back to power for Republicans is to continually sharpen the contrast between GOP ideas and Democrat ideas. Blurring the differences as Colin Powell wants Republicans to do is a losing proposition.

The nation is becoming worried about Obama as they find out more about his plans for destroying our county. The findings in these surveys clearly indicate voters want to check, balance and slow down Obama’s programs. The way to take advantage of this unrest is to continually contrast Democrat failures on Taxes, Cap and Trade, Over Spending, Nationalization of Industries and broken promises, against Republican solutions.

Clearly those who want to constantly blur the lines between the Republican conservative point of view and the decidedly liberal positions of Barack Obama’s Democrat Congress do the cause of regaining a Republican House no good. The Colin Powells and Tom Ridges of the world are dead wrong. Big tents blow away in the wind.

To paraphrase Harry Truman, “When given the choice between someone who acts like a [Democrat] and a real [Democrat] they will vote for the real [Democrat] every time.

McCain ran a “me too” campaign that offered very little contrast to Barack Obama’s socialist plans. That got him 46%. Forty six percent will get you praised by the media and make you the new Bob Michel, but it will never get you elected.

Nancy Pelosi is in China to achieve two goals. First she wants to turn heads away from her CIA problems. Merely stonewalling and trying to wait out the storm hasn’t worked so far. Next she’s trying to get the Chinese to publicly say they won’t follow us by killing their economy with Cap and Trade.

As “follow travels” the Chinese might help Pelosi with the statement she wants, but of course they won’t mean it. Communists lie.

Since January the Speaker has said she can’t support Cap and Trade without China and India’s adoption of our stupid approach, which isn’t happening.

When she finally gets home the CIA story will be old news and she can talk to the far Left with her palms up blaming the Chinese for being “less progressive” than Congressional Democrats.

Democrats who haven’t yet completely lost their mind understand that when energy prices skyrocket the American People will come to understand Cap and Trade and when we connect the dots and realize it is the Democrat’s fault they will pay a price.

Dodging one bullet hit by a second?

Now when Pelosi “looses” the vote on Cap and Trade she can blame the Chinese but sigh in relief. She knows the Democrats risk another 1994 Election bloodbath if they pass this destructive bill. Pelosi and the few sane Democrats know this mess comes from Henry Waxman an election proof loony who doesn’t understand what it will do to our economy.

All of this might be forgotten if Pelosi doesn’t measure up to her unexpected new task of getting China to bring North Korea under control. Chances are the “dullard” Chinese will dance her around and show her the door. This missile crisis is after all a real world problem the American media can’t manage for her.

The uninitiated will believe Pelosi’s task in China is to “use” the Chinese to bring the North Koreans back to a six sided negotiation and make them stop firing nuclear missiles. Pelosi never expected to have to try this, but even if she knew it was coming it would be way over her head. She is in the Speaker not for her brains, but for her socialist politics. Thanks to the North Korean’s missile launches Nancy Pelosi is a cat with her tail caught in a trap. She has been slammed into a deadly dilemma and we are the victims if she fails as is likely.

Pelosi has to treat the Chinese with enough disrespect to bait them into “slamming the door on Cap and Trade”, then suck up to them to get their help with North Korea. She’s up to the first part, but not the second.

Just what CAN force a Democrat from office? It’s hard to say.

Thinking Nancy Pelosi might be forced to resign is both naïve and silly. As a Democrat she’s immune from having to be forced to leave for any reason short of indictment AND conviction, or would even that do it?

This speculation about Pelosi is nothing more than a Washington parlor game played by a media afraid to target Obama.

“Expert opinion” aside, Pelosi isn’t going anywhere. Why should she? Democrats don’t get forced from political power by lying or stealing. In fact it is hard to figure what would force a Democrat to step down from anything.

Remember Patrick Leahy’s Intelligence Committee leaks? No? That proves the point.

How about William Jefferson of Louisiana? A freezer full of cash, he was indicted, but had to be voted out.

In 1980 ABSCAM caught five Congressmen ( one Republican) and Democrat Senator Harrison Williams of New Jersey. They all had to be convicted to push them out.

In 1904 a Boston Democrat was in prison for fraud when he was elected an Alderman. He was elected and reelected to numerous offices thereafter.

Kwame Kilpatrick and Marion Barry were both reelected mayor of their city after felony indictments.

Governors Jim McGreevey of New Jersey and Eliot Spitzer of New York are the exceptions that prove the rule. Nevertheless, while both were forced from office because of sex scandals ( McGreevey’s was gay, Spitzer’s was straight), both were generally hated by those around them who jumped at the chance to force them out.

Carol Moseley Braun who was nailed stealing $249,000 from her campaign treasury, and didn’t think of leaving.

Anyone who thinks this or anything else will force Nancy Pelosi out of her Speakership or office is delusional. Democrats don’t leave.

Democrats have “No controlling legal authority” except the media and that’s not saying much. Only the new media of the Internet conservative Talk Radio and a sprinkling of conservative publications stand between us and total Marxism. Remember shame means nothing to a Democrat except a reason to run for a newly opened Republican seat.

This is from an E mail from an American soldier fighting in Iraq. A friend and former CIA agent sent it along. Please keep the writer and all of our troops in your prayers.
“We often hear media reports about civilian deaths as a result of US operations in the War on Terror. What we rarely hear are reports about the daily killing of civilians by insurgents, whether this is in Iraq or Afghanistan. There are many reasons for this. But, for my part, I think it is worth highlighting the atrocities committed by our foes so we remain aware of the very real threat we face in fighting the War on Terror.
“These are committed enemies, enemies who are willing to kill large numbers of the civilian population on a daily basis to achieve their ends. They are also adept at using propaganda and ‘information warfare’ to their advantage.
“Whatever views one may have about the water-boarding of three Al-Qaeda operatives, we should not forget the brutality inflicted on civilian populations by Al-Qaeda. Failing to recognize the daily killings of civilians by Al-Qaeda devalues the victims of the insurgency, rendering their fate both mundane and meaningless; importantly, failure to acknowledge those crimes and the nature of the insurgency we face misconstrues the urgency of the threat against us.
“A couple of weeks ago, we had two female suicide bombers detonate themselves, killing 150 people in Baghdad. Apparently, the insurgent M.O is this: a female facilitator befriends unsuspecting women and then sets them up to be raped. After they are raped, she then convinces these women that their only hope of salvation is to martyr themselves. The women rendered powerless and without status because of their rape, agree to act as suicide bombers. This is the mindset of our enemy.”
This soldier is scheduled to leave the Iraq Theater of war today 25 May 2009 after completing his tour of duty. Let us pray he makes it home safely. His clear and well constructed writing style is yet another reminder that we are sending some of our best out to protect us. Contrary to the Left’s tired claims, our military is not filled with misfits but rather the kind of men and women we need to win this war.

The FBI and NYPD have arrested four home grown terrorists who plotted to shoot down a military plane and blow up synagogues in the Bronx, and this has ratcheted up Obama’s charade over closing Guantanamo.

Fortunately their “explosives” were fakes supplied by undercover agents working to protect us.

Reports say four Black men, three of whom are prison converts to Islam, intended to attack America in suburban Orange County and New York City. They planned to position themselves outside of Stewart Field, a mixed commercial and military installation, and shoot a hand held missile at a cargo plane they decided might be on its way to Iraq.

The second half of the scheme called for the terrorists to park explosives laden cars next to two Jewish houses of worship in middle class Riverdale the Bronx. The “bombs” were wired to cell phones and had they contained real explosives would have created “a fireball that would have [made] the country gasp” as one agent described it.

Now the Guantanamo charade heats up

Fortunately these thugs are now in jail, but will this incident move feckless Democrats to finally place country ahead of party? Can Democrats find enough patriotism to stop playing politics with Guantanamo and America’s security? That’s not likely.

Now we’re seeing a charade from Obama and Congressional Democrats over “closing” Guantanamo Bay. They ask us to believe Obama “wants” to close Guantanamo but can’t because Congressional Democrats are “so tough on terror” they won’t fund the closing.

This gives the “party over country” Democrats both sides of the issue. Obama fools his “Alinskys” the Blue Dogs fool the nitwits who believe them, flaming leftists like Manhattan’s Jerrold Nadler demand Guantanamo prisoners can come to America ( just not his district) and the media helps them manage the scheme.

When does America’s security come first? Will Obama ever close Guantanamo? At this point it all depends on what the politics of the day dictate. This is a very dangerous situation because we have a totally political administration holding our security in its hands.

Stop the presses!

A respected professional mental health organization, the American Psychological Association (APA) has officially expressed doubts about the existence of a “gay” gene which compels people to be homosexuals.

Is this truth finally winning out or another vast right wing conspiracy?
In 1973 the American Psychiatric Association, the guiding organization in the mental health field yielded to organized pressure from gay activists and removed homosexuality from its list of mental disorders. Thereafter all other mental health providers had to comply.

Until now the American Psychological Association (APA) went along, but it recently released a publication stating, “There is no consensus among scientists about the exact reasons that an individual develops a heterosexual, bisexual, gay or lesbian orientation.”

“Gay” gene/ global warming/ embryonic stem cell research
Aren’t “gay” gene “global warming” and embryonic stem cell research now in the same class of endangered “truths” of the Left?

If “global warming” must be accepted despite reasoned objections doesn’t this mean the existence of the “gay” gene is now in doubt? After all “global warming” has never had total acceptance and now the “gay” gene has less than full support among qualified professional.

How can “global warming” be “settled” and doubts about “gay” genes not “settle” it?

Of course this doesn’t end the discussion; it restarts it.
The Left wants the “emotion taken out of science.” Who could disagree, but will it agree to withhold emotions from this debate?

What if the APA is right?

If this “doubt” expands and disproves the “truth” of “gay” genes it will change everything for Gay America.
Don’t ask/don’t tell is over.

Gay “marriages” become celebrations of mental disorder.
Gay adoptions become state sanctioned child endangerments.

The Right will have to accept “hate crimes” because states have a higher duty to protect the “mentally ill.”

Science must never be allowed to be bullied into submission. Science must be truth and truth is the servant of mankind. If we allow truth to be subverted by emotions or political causes where do we turn for trust information CNN?

Who knows if this will end the nature versus nurture debate about the origins of homosexuality? What is clear is this will be another inconvenient truth the Left will go into overdrive to smother and kill before it reaches the general population or proper scientific hands. We can only hope this is just the beginning of a long and healthy airing of unemotional facts, but history tells us this issue will likely die in a dark alley with duct tape wrapped around its mouth.

No one knows exactly when Barack Obama’s hatred for the real Catholic Church in America became fully formed. But we do know Obama is the most anti Catholic president in history.

Obama claims to have a respect for the real Catholic Church because he heard Cardinal Bernadin speak. Who can believe this? He shows nothing but contempt for real Catholic doctrines. Yet he is still able to fool gullible Jenkinsist Catholics.

He has successfully convinced many of them that his “support for education and concern for the poor” outweighs the real Catholic Church’s support for life.

The most anti Catholic President ever

In the Illinois Senate Obama proposed state mandated disposal of miracle abortion surviving babies. This was an attack on life and an attack on the only large organization standing for life: the real Catholic Church.

Obama will end the “conscience clause” which guarantees ways for pro life health care professionals to refuse to commit abortions because they violate their conscience. This seriously violates real Catholic teachings.

Obama has appointed Harry Knox a viciously anti Catholic homosexual to the Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Knox has declared the Bible is wrong on homosexuality being a sin.

Obama’s selection of Dawn Johnsen to the staff of his General Council says he is intent on using abortion as a wedge to split the Catholic Church and encourage Jenkinsist Catholics. Johnsen is a devoted supporter of partial birth abortion and has sued the Catholic Church to cripple Her efforts to defend life. Johnsen doesn’t use the term “partial birth abortion” because it is “intentionally provocative.”

Johnsen wrote all of Clinton’s orders reinstating abortion “rights”

Are these appointments the work of a President who respects the real Catholic Church, or an enemy who wants to create his own Jenkinsist Catholic Church?

N.B. Dawn Johnsen is seen as too radical, too liberal even for the Senate Democrats who will be asked to confirm her. Her 15 years as counsel for the pro death NARAL, her strong support of same sex “marriage” and statement that “Progressives must not portray all abortions as tragedies” will make her a tough sell.

Adolph Hitler had his Vichy French and boot licking quislings throughout Nazi Europe, but he was always wary of and hated Catholics because they refused to knuckle under to his lies. Hitler was right about Catholics. It was Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, a member of Germany’s Roman Catholic nobility, who led the effort to kill him in July 1944.

To counter the Catholic Church Hitler actually created a Nazi Church and many non Catholic Christian Churchmen went along with the sham.

Barack Obama is many things but not a fool. He recognizes the real Catholic Church, whose members voted against him, is the last remaining obstacle to his Marxist style total control of our lives.

He can not directly shut down the real Catholic Church. That would be a time consuming, counterproductive losing proposition and frankly quite unnecessary.

Obama is way too smart to stir up resistance among real Catholics with an overt move toward shutting down the real Catholic Church.
He can’t take over the real Catholic Church so he’s starting his own Church, the Jenkinsist Catholic Church. He knows the media will turn its back on the real Catholic Church and always go to Jenkinsist Catholics for comments knowing what answers they will give.

Obama’s Jenkinsist Catholics will claim to be Catholic just as Frances Kissling of Catholics For a Free Choice claims to be a real Catholic. Eventually the media will only interview Jenkinsist bishops, and real Catholic bishops will be ignored.

The beauty of it all is breathtaking. The more real Catholic bishops demand adherence to real Catholicism the more Jenkinsist Catholics will appear. It will be like trying to pour the ocean into a hole on the beach.

Obama’s actions/ appointments make him the most anti real Catholic president ever. More on this tomorrow.

Now that the sound of the standing ovation given to Barack Obama at the grotesque charade in South Bend has died down it’s time for reflection and regrouping.

While over 75 of America’s Catholic bishops condemned Notre Dame for its honoring of our pro abortion, pro POST birth disposal President, that’s little more than 1/3 of these men whose mission is guarding and growing Roman Catholicism in America, the world’s most important Catholic country.

What will these few faithful bishops do now, speak out or remain silent to go along/ get along?

Catholics and pro lifers of every persuasion are waiting for answers.

It’s time for faithful Catholic bishops to use the Notre Dame scandal as a rallying point; a “bloody shirt.”

The “bloody shirt” concept may have sinister connotations, but that actually makes it a perfect rallying cry for calls for a new respect for Catholic teachings on life.

Since whatever is said by the faithful bishops about this scandal will be twisted distorted and misquoted anyway, why not give Father Jenkins and his secular humanist media supporters something to really quote?

Calling Obama’s speech a “bloody shirt” and using it as a line in the sand to force Jenkinsist Catholics to decide their own fate will keep the issue alive and make more people choose a side.

The “bloody shirt” of Notre Dame could ignite a media “righteous indignation” like the one that drove them to repeat the “Willie Horton” story over and over until all of voting America had heard of it and decided against Dukakis.

This opportunity must not be missed by America’s Catholic bishops. Catholics must be compelled to think through the meaning of being “pro choice” when a monster is in the White House. Americans want to choose life, the bishops must help them.

Jenkins’ supporters

Off campus one of Father Jenkins’ fans, a member of “Abortion on demand”, made this statement, “If women don’t have a right to decide if they have a child, women aren’t free. We need to expand abortion access and abortion rights and lift the stigma. Fetuses are not babies and women are not incubators.”

Certainly Father Jenkins would not be proud to stand with her, but with his record who knows?
