Obama is slipping lots of dangerous lines into his new budget. Some turn the nation’s back on our police and others will make our streets more dangerous. Still others help illegal aliens go undetected. In Obama’s world cops cost money and illegal aliens become Democrat voters. For him everything is political.

Remember Obama’s campaign talk about “shared sacrifices?” It’s turning out to be nothing but socialist double talk. The details of Obama’s proposed budget are seeping out.

Here are some of his cuts.

He wants to cut almost half of the federal benefits provided for the surviving families of local police officers killed in the line of duty. This compact with America’s cops has been in place for 35 years. For all these years the benefits offered by the federal government have been the main support for small town police officers’ families after the line of duty death of their loved one.

Currently the program pays $300,000 in survivor benefits. While 2008 saw the lowest number of officers killed in the line of duty in decades, so far 2009 has seen a 28% surge ahead of last year’s number at this point.

Obama’s budget message also calls for eliminating funding for the “Securing the Cities” program which pays for the New York Police Department’s system to detect and deal with radiological or nuclear terror threats.

This funding has gone to arming individual officers and their vehicles with radiation detectors and has worked well to protect the city.

Obama wants to end other pro police items as well.

His 2010 budget will end the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP) saving $ 400 million in a three trillion dollar budget. SCAAP pays for detecting arresting and jailing illegal aliens who commit an increasing number of violent crimes in our streets.

If Barack Obama looked us in the eyes and said he wanted to do as much harm to us as he could with his new budget he would have a tough time beating these items. Do you think this man has America’s best interests at heart?

Tuesday Washington’s town idiot Vice President Joe Biden spoke to a bunch of union extortionists at a dinner in Washington. He said what they wanted to hear about the chances of forcing the unions’ “Card Check” scheme down America’s throat, but he lied.

With a theme of “unions are the way to rebuild the middle class” Biden led his congregation in a collective whine repeating the self delusional lie “if only the playing field were made level (by our Dear Leader) the whole country would unionize.”

Biden told the gathering of union capos “You’ve got to climb up a hill with so many roadblocks on the way to organize that it’s just out of whack…”

Biden moaned about the difference between the level of public sector unionization ( 37 percent) and private sector (7.5 percent) control by organized labor, but didn’t explain it.

He continued with, “.. said federal, state and municipal employees face fewer barriers to organization, while managers in the private sector use “every trick in the book” to undermine unions.”

He didn’t mention the “Agency shop laws” which force union membership on government workers which clearly accounts for the difference. Nor did he talk about how Card Check takes the secret ballot away from workers voting on whether to unionize.

Card Check is losing ground

Regardless of media reports, Card Check is losing support everywhere. The news is universally good for us.

It is losing support in the Senate. Senators Feinstein and Lincoln have walked away.

http://unionfacts.com/ reports just 3 of the 142 newspapers taking a position on Card Check are supportive.

A McLaughlin poll of only union households on Card Check shows:

85% against it;

65% would be less likely to vote for a supporter of Card Check; and 72% agreed it is “unwise” and “risky.”

If Labor is losing with newspapers and their own members this fight is probably over. Could we still see Card Check anyway? Of course we could, but the supply of Labor’s “chips” is dwindling. The mess Obama and Biden have made of our economy will likely produce so many “fires” that Card Check will have to be put aside for now.
If we keep it that way as we get closer to next year’s election cycle keeping this assault on freedom bottled up will get easier. This is a winnable issue for us, and a winning issue in a few races. It’s not over but as of now we are way ahead.

While we’re running out of money dead people are getting checks.

Imagine the shock a Maryland man got on receiving an Obama recession stimulus check for his mother who died in 1967!

The Social Security’s explanation would be funny if it didn’t involve real money.

With a straight face a Social Security representative offered a “good explanation” for this embarrassing gaffe pointing out that about 52 million checks were sent out and about “10,000 went to dead people.”

He actually blamed the mistake on “the strict mid-June deadline which didn’t provide enough time to clean up” all the records.

Forty two years is not enough to “clean up” their records? Remember this is the same government that wants to run every aspect of our lives.

This “little mistake” was worth 2.5 million dollars at a time when our tax cheat Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has just announced Social Security and Medicare are rapidly dying.

His grim announcement told us both the Social Security and Medicare systems will start spending more money than they take in around 7 years from now and be dead broke by 2037.

What’s Obama doing about this coming crisis?

Aside from being glad he’ll be long gone when this fiscal tidal wave hits, and trying to put illegal aliens into both systems, Obama is offering a fairy tale to head it off.

Monday Obama told us, he “THE ANOINTED ONE” would trim $2 trillion from America’s health care costs in the next decade. Immediately thereafter an MIT based analyst said Obama can’t deliver anything near this number he apparently picked out of his… eh back pocket.

The only way to stop this crap is to elect a GOP Congress next year. Wade into the fight. The future of America depends on what we do this cycle.

The signs are everywhere. We can win back at least an influential position in the House. We need to regain about 12 to 15 seats to sufficiently cut the Democrats lead to make our voice heard. If you love our country plan on giving up a large part of your time and some of your money working to win America’s soul back starting next fall.

As we get closer this column will spotlight races that show the most promise for victory. Those who have never gotten involved in elective politics before have do so now. Being a true American patriot means getting informed then getting involved.

Exactly what was Jimmy Carter’s biggest failure?

Carter screwed us with the DoE, but there’s more.

*Carter’s July 15, 1979 Malaise speech when he showed us he was out of hope and ideas and but full of self pity.

*Giving away the Panama Canal or asking his 13 year old daughter for advice on nuclear warfare and being stupid enough to quote her.

*What about the Department of Education? Bureaucrats referred to it as “E.D”, an abbreviation which has another meaning today, but might very well apply to the Department of Education as well.

*Maybe it was the endless gas lines.

*Carter gave us: 13.5% inflation; 21.5% prime rates and home mortgage rates of 14.7%; high unemployment and a jaw dropping 33% poverty rate! He delivered lower disposable income rates for every income quintile.

*Maybe it was the shameful self debasement Carter displayed when he accepted a Nobel Peace Prize as a way to embarrass George W. Bush America’s serving President. He joined Euro-trash socialists in mocking and attacking Bush on foreign soil during wartime in return for a “prize” he didn’t deserve.

The Department of Energy (DoE) Carter’s worst failure

The incomprehensible DoE mission statement would be funny if it weren’t so infuriating. It says nothing about lowering energy prices, its original assignment. Today nobody knows what it does only that it doesn’t lower oil prices.

Now Industry experts are talking about possible $300.00 oil. The DoE was created to lower our dependence on foreign oil, but today we use 45% more than when Carter started it. DoE’s 15,000 workers “need” $24 billion a year to complete its mystery assignment, yet it gives us nothing in return.

Carter’s worst damage is the DoE. It never produced anything but wasted the time and money needed to achieve American energy independent.

From the day it started, DoE has always been a bureaucrat’s affirmative action dream. Its first Secretary was the first Republican appointed by a Democrat. From there it was headed by a series of “the firsts.” There was the first Black female and the first Asian male at its helm. It has never produced anything that could not have been provided by a small office in a government office building’s basement.

Carter screwed us big time with the DoE.

We knew they would come. The lies and half truths about Barack Obama’s planned speech at next Sunday’s graduation ceremony at Notre Dame are intensifying. Beth Fouhy of the AP brings us the latest pack of lies half truths and omissions. She has produced yet another lock step bouquet to be placed on the alter of secular humanism which can not be allowed to stand unchallenged.

Fouhy writes Catholics and pro-lifers are angry at Notre Dame’s invitation to Obama because;

“They cite his support for abortion rights and embryonic stem cell research, and his repeal of a policy that denied federal dollars to international relief organizations that provide abortions or abortion-related information. They remain angry with Obama’s support for legislation that would prohibit state and local governments from interfering with a woman’s right to obtain an abortion.”

What this cynical cheerleader for the liberals’ culture of death has conveniently omitted is that we recognize Obama’s inherent evil proved by his vigorous efforts to pass a law instructing Illinois’s hospitals to starve to death BORN INFANTS who miraculously survived botched abortions.

This is our core objection and Fouhy knows it. She omitted this gruesome truth to portray us as unsophisticated simpletons unaccustomed to dialogue in “the real world” of the San Francesco progressive.

Fouhy knows she could not write about the real Obama. She knows a description of his bill mandating infanticide of BORN INFANTS who’s lives “violated the intention of the abortion” would never be printed.

Of course abortions are a daily evils to be fought; of course embryonic stem cell research is a “slippery slope” way for liberal ogres to kill more innocent infants, but cynically elevating them to parity with our outrage over infanticide is intellectually dishonest and morally bankrupt.

Calling Biden “an observant Catholic” is laughable. Just look at the truth. No one who has been barred from receiving Holy Communion in his own diocese, as Joe Biden has, can in any sense of the phrase be described as “an observant Catholic” This is only true in the liberal fantasy world where the media is invited to attend the wedding of a Pope.

The number of Catholics who don’t want Barack Obama to speak at Notre Dame’s May 17th graduation ceremony is growing and has now reached the tipping point.

A new Rasmussen survey shows that by more than 2 to 1 (60% to 25%) Catholics don’t want Obama to speak at Notre Dame. Only 19% had no opinion. Catholics know the issue and don’t want him there.

Because of the particulars of this situation it’s safe to assume Catholics object to Obama’s appearance at “America’s Catholic University” because of his grotesque position on POST BIRTH disposal of infants who miraculously survived abortions. You don’t get 60% of Catholics objecting to a run of the mill liberal Democrat abortion supporter. Democrat support for abortion is a given.

This isn’t just about abortion or the laughable suggestion that Catholics don’t want Obama speaking at Notre Dame because he supports “stem cell research.” Instead Catholics are taking a well considered step toward confronting the evil Obama represents.

At a rate of 60% Catholics don’t want Obama to receive an honorary Law degree from Notre Dame. That’s more than twice the number who approve of the honor.

When juxtaposed, Rasmussen’s and Gallup’s new poll results make one wonder who’s right and who’s wrong about Catholic attitudes toward Obama.

Gallup’s new poll found that 67% of Catholics favored Barack Obama. This begs two questions: what if any issues did Gallup’s Catholics have in mind when two out of three expressed approval of Obama? Moreover, since November what issues, that Catholics care about, has Obama been good on that would explain the increased Catholic approval ratings from 54% to 67%?

Someone’s research is faulty. Someone has this issue seriously wrong. As May 17th gets closer we will see who has it right.

Based on the more than 340,000 petition signatures collected by those against Obama’s Notre Dame speech, the smart bet is that Rasmussen has it right.

This is a growing problem for Father Jenkins and his school. While Obama will do his damage and walk away largely untouched, Notre Dame will suffer for this decision for years to come. It will never again be seen as “America’s Catholic University” by many people, some of whom will be alums who will no longer donate. In the end Notre Dame will be left with its reputation in tatters and its fundraising goals ever so much harder to reach.

Don’t bet on Barack Obama being classy enough to back out with some transparent excuse. He is after all, no George Bush.

American Jews are liberal Democrats before supporters of Israel and this spells big trouble Israel.

Since Harry Truman every American President has courted Jewish votes with his support for Israel. But time has frayed the emotional ties between America’s Jews and their “homeland” Israel. Until Obama’s campaign no candidate recognized this.

The Obama team is loathsome and Marxists, but make no mistake, their political acumen on the question of Israel is flawless. Obama is making it clear he’s using his presidency to change American foreign policy to favor the Palestinians over Israel and he’s not worried about the consequences.

Until today any president turning away from Israel would be committing political suicide. But Obama’s handlers have recognized he can “have his political cake and eat it too,” on Israel. They know there’ll be no political price to pay for throwing Israel under the bus because America’s Jews have “progressed.” They no longer care about Israel and find liberal Democrat politics more appealing than expending time money or energy protecting Israel.

Monday Obama ordered his Chicago thug enforcer Rahm Emanuel to deliver a blunt message to Israel: bend over and given the Palestinians gangsters who want to kill you what they want or forget about American help against Iran. This used to be a fatal mistake for a president, but not anymore.

Nothing to fear from Jewish voters

A new Gallup poll shows Obama, who campaigned with strong support from vicious anti Semites like Louis Farrakhan and Rev. Wright, has not lost the support of a single American Jew over the issue of Israel or anything else. Obama has the same 79% Jewish support he got on Election Day.

The situation is very clear: Israel must stand alone because Obama and his American Jews don’t give a damn about her survival.

Obama knows attacking Israel is a winning hand. He has a green light to build his support among America’s anti-Semites while still keeping the Jewish vote no matter what he does. He can use threats against Israel to cozy up to those who wish the Jewish state would die, keep the Jews and gain still more support from Israel’s enemies. For Obama anti-Semitism is all good.

Illegal aliens cost us, they don’t help us.

The nature of any social system is that it must benefit someone in order to continue to survive. The systems benefitting no one eventually collapse. The question then becomes: Who is benefitting?

Average Americans don’t benefit from the presence of illegals in our country. Only business interests and Democrats who see illegals as new voters benefit from this invasion.

FAIR, an immigration tracking organization has complied these numbers on the costs of illegals just for Florida alone.
Floridians are paying $3.4 billion to educate illegal alien children and American born children of those here illegally.

The state of Florida pays $290 million a year for health care services provided for illegal aliens.

Each year illegal alien incarceration cost the state $90 million.

What these numbers mean

Every Legal resident family in Florida pays an extra $678.00 a year to support those who demand benefits based on their ability to evade federal authorities and illegally remain in Florida.

The State of Florida is facing a $ 6 billion budget deficit almost two third of which is directly caused by what it is paying to support illegal aliens who have no right to be here let alone consume our budget dollars.

A recent Zogby poll of Florida residents clearly shows the people of Florida fully understand what is happening.

More than 71% know illegal aliens have a negative impact on their state.

More than 83% are aware of the needless strain on the state’s budget caused by this problem.

While only 36% would allow amnesty for illegals, 57% want stronger border enforcement to combat this growing problem.
As Obama’s recession makes things worse in America things will get worse in Mexico. But the Democrats won’t close the border for obvious reasons.

In New York

In the very upscale Hamptons on New York’s Long Island illegal aliens who have out stayed their usefulness are now camping out in the woods near multi million dollar homes. Most of the homes in the Hamptons are owned by wealthy liberals who pinch every penny and won’t pay full price ever. They invited these illegal aliens to their town so they could avoid paying full value wages to American workers.
Now these same liberals who look down their noses at Middle America are planning “free food” kitchens for the illegals they enticed to their neighborhoods. They think half way measures like this will work to improve the situation because their knee jerk liberalism tells them this will help. It won’t. In some cases these homeless, stateless people are turning to crime to support themselves. That is a problem that will only grow. Yet the Democrats won’t close our borders.

Making simple disagreements criminal matters: The Left hates freedom of speech

A Connecticut college student who was asked to make a presentation in his Communications class recently discovered that freedom of speech only extends to those who are supporting leftist causes. When his professor realized he was speaking in support of having guns on campuses to protect against Virginia Tech type mass murders , she not only be scolded him, but actually called the police! Apparently at Central Connecticut State University merely saying the words “guns on campus” is a serious violation of liberal law punishable by arrest.

That night the police asked to “voluntarily” come in for an interview. He was questioned about the guns their investigation revealed he legally possesses and eventually released.

A Colorado high school student who wore a tee shirt with “NOBAMA” printed on it discovered his freedom of speech could be cancelled at the whim of a local police officer who objected to his peaceful protest. When Blake Benson and two other students at Datoka Ridge High School protested an appearance by Michelle Obama he thought he had the right to wear an anti Obama tee shirt. He was wrong. For wearing his shirt he was arrested, handcuffed and taken to his school’s administrative office where he was given a “Promise to appear” citation by a county sheriff’s deputy. Not to be outdone in trampling Benson’s rights of freedom of speech, the principal suspended Benson as well. Although both the school and the police have backed down from their illegal positions, they have both taught Benson a lesson about the oppressive use of governmental power.

A Traverse City Michigan high school student was berated and given a ten minute lecture for reading Fox News off the screen of his in class computer. He was told to read and listen to “BBC and other news venues.”

We could ask when does this end, but the better question is: Is the just the beginning of Marxist crack downs on freedom of speech. Sadly it seems to be the latter.

When Obama bludgeoned Chrysler into bankruptcy last week and gave the company to the United Auto Workers (UAW), he brought about the “Auto Farm” scenario predicted on this site last December.

Here’s how it could happen and will likely end up.

UAW’s Old Major, Ron Gettelfinger, stirs his members to adopt the “Autoism” philosophy as their guiding principle. This leads his worker/animals to pressure their best friend government/Democrat to run off the auto makers. UAW then takes over Detroit renames it Auto Farm and declares it the property of its worker/animals.

At first Auto Farm appears to prosper. With government/Democrat subsidies the cars built in Auto Farm “sell” better than those built in the nearby free market “farms” not controlled by UAW. To maintain the appearance of viability, Napoleon, Old Major’s successor, secretly sells off some of the manufacturing plants on Auto Farm and continues to pay the worker/animals on the production line. They don’t realize their cars cost nearly twice what they can be sold for in the free market outside of Auto Farm. UAW cars sell to government/Democrat, but no one else.

Soon Auto Farm is covered with unsold low quality cars, there’s nowhere to walk, let alone work and produce more cars no one but government/Democrat will buy. Finally even government/Democrat can’t find room to park the unused cars and has to stop buying Auto Farm vehicles.

Finally Auto Farm closes and its assets are sold to pay the EPA to clean up the sites of the old factories.

As the last animal/worker walks away from the last crumbling factory he trips on a Chrysler sign and a UAW lawyer/weasel yells, “We’ll sue!”

Hearing this, the worker/animals cheer and start singing songs about the evil capitalists of Chrysler who oppress saintly animal/ workers.

The end of “Auto Farm” is a certainty. The factories are closing now because private managers can not get union workers to produce a product anyone wants to buy. Once the controls are handed over to other union members there will be no place to go but down and out. The big three auto companies will be run like factories in the old East Germany.
