There’ll be a tradeoff in the Senate: Sotomayor for Cap and Trade. Her reversal probably assures her confirmation as the lesser of two evils.

Here’s it works.

The reversal fans the stink from Sotomayor. Three hundred boxes of probably damaging new Sotomayor documents have just surfaced. The Marxist controlled media couldn’t smother the truth about this racist fraud forever.

Reid’s problem

The House Marxists voted to collectively jump off a cliff with Cap and Trade. While many voted “No” many others voted “Yes” and are now politically screwed.

Jim Inhofe sees no more than 34 “Yes” votes in the Senate. A Nevada poll is bad news for Harry Reid. His favorable numbers are below John Ensign’s at 39/34!

Obama’s fading

Obama’s January 30 point advantage on Rasmussen’s Presidential approval index is below zero today. He can’t help Reid.

Cap and Trade plus Sotomayor have Harry Reid in a bind. He doesn’t have the votes to pass this destructive bill, and she is an obvious racist fraud.

The tradeoff

Reid has two bags of crap on his hands. Neither could pass in ordinary times, but we’re not in ordinary times. He’ll have to offer Obama an “either or” and Obama will pick Sotomayor.

Why Obama won’t care
Obama’s trying one program after another to destroy America until he wins one. Each will be capable of destroying America on its own. He doesn’t have to win them all, just one or two wins will ruin us.

He’ll back away from Cap and Trade then come at us with his Health Care scheme. If that goes down, he’ll have another one. Sotomayor is the lesser of two evils. She’ll only replace another liberal justice. Cap and Trade and what is next will end America if we don’t beat them back one after another.

Now the good news

The backlash is building. Those of us who are paying attention know something good is happening. Obama and his Marxists are over reaching and providing us with opportunities. These are not election successes. They are only opportunities to win. This is why we have to get educated; get organized; teach what we have learned and do something about what we learn.

When a Republican stabs us in the back, get on the phone and make your feelings clear. When a Republican does the right thing send a note applauding it.

Plan on joining your local GOP club and traveling to wherever you are needed if your friends and family to fight for Congressional seats. If you live where a Democrat holds the seat, fight for our candidate if he has a chance. If your local candidate has no chance go to a neighboring district and work for a Republican who does have a chance.

America can still be saved, but it will take all of us pulling together to get the job done.

Union thug Andy Stern brags about his access to the White House. Why not? It’s good to be the king’s friend.

Stern’s friendship with the king is really paying off. Obama has made few cuts in his 2010 budget, but took an axe to the funding for the agency charged with enforcing laws broken by union thugs.

The Department of Labor’s Office of Labor Management Standards’ (OLMS) budget was cut 9%. At a time when all of us are tightening our belts and bracing for more budget cuts, the United States government is the only large employer still hiring.

The OLMS is the office of the Department of Labor that investigates union corruption allegations and puts Andy’s pals in federal prison.

Federal budgets are large and growing save for OLMS’s, so why aren’t we being bombarded with the “good news” of a government budget cut?

The lap dog media won’t report this cut because it doesn’t want us to realize this is one budget that shouldn’t be reduced.

The OLMS is a victim of its own success on our behalf. Over the last 8 years it has convicted more than 900 union thugs for a variety of crimes including embezzlement.

The work of the OLMS has also returned over 91 million stolen dollars to rank and file union members. Now these cuts have put a serious drag on the agency’s ability to fight for clean unions, but of course this is exactly the reason for the cuts.

No other sub-budget of the Department of Labor was touched. In fact at least one other subdivision of Labor received an 18% increase: the Wage and Hour Division which enforces the ridiculous 12 week leave for workers.

If this was a movie about how gangsters took over America how would things be different?

Obama’s plan is to take control of the means of production without his fingerprints being on the move. He knows outright government control will cause a backlash he won’t survive. To solve his problem he wants to hand America’s industrial production over to his surrogates the thugs in union leadership. This won’t work if they are in prison.
This is why we have to savagely fight against the Card Check scheme. If they win that fight our country is lost.
Get the facts. Get involved. America needs all of us standing shoulder to shoulder. Our nation needs us now.

Get used to hearing “Shut up and get in line!”

Unless God Himself intervenes and saves us today we, the people who built America into the greatest country on earth, will become a nation of slaves.

All true Americans can shed a tear for what was lost today if the Democrats’ Cap and Tax scheme passes.

Despite the best efforts of many of us, as you read this the Waxman- Markey Marxist global warming bill will be the law of the land.

This convoluted 1201 page pile of crap will destroy the greatest economic engine in world history.

This bill has nothing to do with a “green future.” The huge taxes it will bring are designed to bend us and break us. This is nothing but a ruse to bring America under the thumb of a bunch of Marxist Democrats. The targets for reduction of so called “dangerous levels of carbon dioxide” in this bill are insane.
We use fossil fuels to run our American way of life so any drastic reduction of “harmful emissions” from this commodity can’t be met short of a general retreat to the 19th century. Make no mistake this is exactly what the Marxist Democrats want for us.
When Waxman/ Markey kicks in gasoline prices will increase at a dizzying rate. Our ability to travel will be restricted and we will be shoved from place to place until our lives are approved by our COI (nee ACORN) commissars.
Working families (not the phony Reds who use the term, but real working families) will pay an additional $3,000 a year for nothing, not a damned thing except supporting more Marxism. There may be as many as 1,145,000 jobs lost to feed this beast. Farm profits will drop nearly 30% pushing our food prices to new heights.

This essay is painful to write, and even think about. We are in an extremely dangerous situation. If ever you’ve had a reason to get educated and get involved in your own life it is now. We still don’t know the true amount of damage the election of Comrade Obama will ultimately end up crushing us with. Nevertheless, we don’t really have time sit around wringing our hands and feeling sorry for ourselves.
Resolve right here and now to do everything you can to throw these Marxist bastards out and save what will be left of America. Stay silent, do nothing and you will have to share responsibility for what is done to us by these people.

They say there are no atheists in a foxhole and maybe there are no American Marxists in a deep economic hole. The economic “atheists” in Maine seem to have proved this point.

Maine’s “other people’s money” is running out. This has forced “drastic” action.

Maine’s Marxists may be getting it.

Last week during a history making Legislative session Maine’s Democrats cut spending by 500 million dollars. On top of this the lopsidedly Marxist Maine Legislature handed Governor John Baldacci a new tax bill that actually cuts rates for almost 580,000 Mainers who will see their taxes lowered by around 55 million dollars based on a new top rate of 6.5 percent down from 8.5 percent on incomes up to $250,000. Those reporting incomes above this level will see a reduction in their rates from 8.5 percent down to 6.85 percent.
Like most tired northeastern liberal infested states Maine has been in a steady decline over a number of years since it fell for Democrat socialism to replace its traditional “Yankee-can-do” independence. The Democrats in Augusta acted as if the money facet would never shut off. Now Maine has had her “Road to Damascus” moment cut taxes and cut spending.
In a rare moment of socialist clarity, Baldacci commented “… when many other states are raising income taxes and making it more difficult for working men and women and families and small businesses to be able to keep more of their hard-earned tax dollars, [we are] sending a message out that not only is Maine open for business, but Maine supports families, supports communities and it wants to provide them with real relief….”
Other states are also bleeding out because of socialism. Will they remain in denial or will they act? They’ll probably just raise taxes and watch Maine grow.

Are there problems with this new tax formula in Maine? Of course there are. It includes a classic socialist assumption that people from outside of Maine will help make up any shortfalls. The bill presupposes that Maine will remain so attractive to tourists and part time vacationers that they will gladly pay increased hotel and other taxes largely aimed at them. That remains to be seen.
Another problem is home mortgage interest is no longer deductible which is a serious threat to the same people it is reportedly trying to help. Nevertheless when socialists start cutting spending and reducing taxes it is a very important first step. We know it will work to ease Maine’s problems and other states will “discover” spending and tax cuts when they watch Maine grow.

The Democrats are always trying to destroy America and turn us into France.

Their latest attacks are their plans to nationalize Health Care.

Marxist Democrats have three plans: One each from: Nancy Pelosi; Ted Kennedy (and his waitress sandwich sidekick Chris Dodd); and Max Baucus.

Yet even now before anything has been passed, the leftist New York Times has admitted these plans have begun to cost American jobs.

Employers know what is coming

Even if the Democrats don’t understand it, America’s small business owners understand nationalizing Health Care will be a huge job killer. What else can employers think, when they hear all of these new plans will require big out lays of Health Care premiums from them?

These plans will require employers of more than 20 workers to pay 65% of the costs of covering them and their family’s health care. Employers will also have to collect the other 35% from their workers to make up the difference. Obama will make employers part-time government collection agents. In his twisted Marxist mind profit is evil anyway.

How will America’s small businesses, where 60 to 80% of American jobs come from, survive under the strain, and where does this take us?

It brings us right back to the Marxist plans Obama has to bankrupt America. Sure employers can slow down recruiting, and hire only the best available workers, but they don’t dare lay off current workers to save money.

Unemployment insurance payments will more than make up any savings.

Laid off workers are paid with tax money taken from employers; so the longer the worker is unemployed and receiving payments the worse it is for the company involved and all of us. We never hear this from our enemies in the media, do we? They’re too busy shinning Obama’s shoes.

Action alert

Watching this guy Obama you see he has a certain air of smugness about him that says, “I don’t care what you say or do because I’m going to destroy America and remake it into a country I think is fair and that’s that.”

Right now he is holding all the cards, but we can and must step up to slow this train down and turn it around. America needs us now.

Get educated. Get involved. We have the big Cap and Tax bill vote coming up on Friday.

The Marxists are saying they have the votes to pass it.

Maybe, maybe not; we are the only thing standing in his way.

Let your Representative know you understand what is happening and you don’t want any part of it.

We can’t trust anyone to do this for us. We have to do it for ourselves our children and grandchildren. If not us; who will do it?

Barack Obama isn’t just following Saul Alinsky. He’s using the Cloward-Piven strategy to purposely destroy America by flooding welfare rolls.
Before Saul Alinsky’s “Rule for Radicals” Obama’s evil plan to bring down America was laid out by two anti American creeps from Columbia University.
Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven’s recommendations, made in 1966, are driving Obama’s headlong charge to drag America into one crisis after another. What Cloward-Piven calls for is the purposeful bankrupting of America by flooding our city and state welfare rolls.
N.B. It has pointed out that Cloward’s first name was Richard ( he’s dead now). The necessary change has been made.

Once this purposeful bankruptcy is accomplished the ensuing chaos will provide the opportunity for herding a panicking and desperate America into the clutches of the false “safety” of socialism from which we will never get free.
When this plan first surfaced in 1966, the Democrats were in charge but still an American political party so it had no chance of actually happening. Today everything is changed and the Marxist hard Left is determined not to let this opportunity slip by.
Financial help from George Soros and tax money Democrats gave to ACORN provided the necessary support for the election of Barack Obama and his Marxist regime. But the Marxists remember that “health care” crashed and burned under Clinton when people understood his plans. They also remember last year’s failed amnesty scheme.
This is why Obama is pushing so hard to ram through his destructive social programs. He knows when Americans figure out what he’s up to, we will buck and demand an end to his socialist dreams.
Obama’s popularity is dropping, Americans are getting on to him, but we need to push harder. We have to talk to people and explain what is happening. Surprisingly the National Rifle Association (NRA) may be the cause of this problem.

A new Government Accountability Office report provides us with the startling news that an FBI investigation proved 865 of 963 or 90% of those listed on the Homeland Security “Terrorist Watch List” had no trouble legally purchasing guns and even explosives!

Felons, illegal aliens and drug addicts can’t buy guns or explosives presumably because they are a danger to our safety, yet those on the “Terrorist Watch List”, and thereby deemed extremely dangerous, are having little trouble legally buy weapons to kill us with.

Currently there is a huge hole in our laws concerning the use of the Watch List to stop individuals from purchasing guns and explosives. The list which consists of more than one million names was put together after the 9-11 attacks. In a truly amazing example of government efficiency a May 2009 audit of the list by the Justice Department’s Inspector General, proved 24,000 names on it were placed there in error. This number is is 2.4%. This list is extremely accurate.

N.B. Collins Report reader John Tant pointed out an error in the percentage 24,000 names represented. The original text said 1/4 of one percent and should have said 2.4%. Thanks Mr. Tant!

What’s the problem with using it?

The NRA has tied the Watch List up based on its contention that even denying this small number of people their right to purchase firearms is a greater evil than the potential damage those properly placed on the list pose to our national well being. Really?

I ‘m a proud NRA Life member; nevertheless occasionally they do things like this that puzzle me. Holding America’s security hostage over the rights of a comparative handful of people makes little sense. The NRA should immediately sit down with Homeland Security and work this out. This is one issue that demands another look.

This CAN’T be why the 2nd Amendment was written.

Knee jerk nay saying like this actually hurts the cause of Second Amendment rights because it provides those who would steal our rights with the talking point ammunition they need to beat us into submission. It provides people like Senator Frank Lautenberg the chance to cry about his colleagues “knuckling under to the gun lobby.” How does that support our cause?

Sometimes the NRA gets tunnel vision like when they whole heartedly endorsed Harry Reid for reelection. I personally warned Executive V.P. Wayne LaPierre it would be a dangerous move and I believe time and history have proved me right. If you are an NRA member contact our organization to ask them to work this objection out before it is too late.
Watching this situation wouldn’t help America, but getting involved will. If we don’t step up no one will.

Liberal Democrats never recognize the power of taxation to change individual behavior while they are lusting after our tax dollars.
As socialists they have very limited knowledge of the concept of dynamic scoring in taxing policy (the effect of taxation on how people live their everyday lives).
Conservatives understand taxation changes consumer attitudes and behavior, but Liberals only admit this when they’re voting to raise taxes on behaviors they claim not to like such as smoking drinking alcoholic beverages gambling and cruising on large yachts.

Simple observation continually proves conservatives are right and liberals are wrong on this point.

USA Today recently trumpeted the “reassuring” news that increased tobacco taxes are expected to reduce smoking, while Science Daily said, “Increasing cigarette taxes is an effective strategy for reducing tobacco….”

Evidence like this makes the latest bit of foolishness from the slow witted Democrats puzzling. The Senate is scheduled to consider a bill to increase the taxes international visitors pay to visit America and spend their money.

The ironically named Travel Promotion Act of 2009 will fund yet another new government agency to promote tourism by – you guessed it – raising taxes on tourists.

The depth of denial on the part of the stumble bums running our lives is breathtaking. Each day we are reminded there are no adults around and the children have taken over the schoolhouse. Bart Simpson must have kidnapped Principal Skinner.

It would be hard to pick a time when raising taxes on foreign tourists was a worse idea. We are in competition with the whole world for a shrinking pool of Euros Yen and Yuan. Last year international tourism put more than $100 billion into our economy, money we could certainly use now. This is stupid beyond belief. Do these dopes really think this will help?
The money these greedy fools get from this tax increase will be offset by the damage it will do to the private sector. Tourist attractions around the country will see a downturn in visitors and a downturn in employment of Americans who work in the tourist industry.
Is this so hard to follow? Shall we send a crayon version of this message to the socialists Democrats?

“Turn in your junk car and we’ll pay you $4,500 for a new one,” so says the Clunker bill.

What’s the problem? In the childish liberal mind where hard economic facts don’t exist, this makes perfect sense, but does it?

Because we have no media, just smiling and lying Baghdad Bob’s, it’s up to us to dig out the truth for ourselves.

Here are some facts about this monster the media won’t talk about.

*People drive clunkers because they usually can’t afford a better car. Under this program they still won’t be able to afford a new car. This will force up the price for used cars and make things worse for the poor people Comrade Obama says he’s trying to help.

* The Clunker bill will trigger the law of unintended consequences and hurt all of the legitimate charities that survive on donations of old cars. Eventually all of them will go out of existence or depend on government support. Soon every charity will have to be “state approved ” to survive. How big a problem will this bring? Google shows 361,000 “donate your car” charities. When they go under millions of poor people will lose their support systems and tens of thousands of charity worker jobs will be lost.

* The “green” argument for getting clunkers off the road is dubious at best. Yes the few more miles per gallon “newer” used cars might get will be an improvement, but wouldn’t that be offset by the “nasty” stuff that would fly around when these cars are crunched up and wouldn’t there be a problem with storing all the waste?

* Estimates of the costs of this program are currently set at $4 billion of our money. Have you ever heard of a government program where costs were UNDERESTIMATED?

Germany has used a similar program for a few months, and of course it has actually cost at least three times more than government “estimates.” More than this, studies of the German experience have shown it has largely led to a mere shift of spending priorities. Consumer electronics sales fell in ratio to automobile spending meaning there has been no net gain for Germany’s economy.

The Clunker for cash scheme will doubtlessly fail to materialize because it is so obviously flawed. Nevertheless it needs to be watched until it disappears. We can’t sit and do nothing while the Stalinist Democrats destroy our country. They might not care about America but we do.

Get informed and get involved. Challenge the Stalinists at every opportunity. If we don’t save America no one will.

Joseph Stalin said: ” I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this — who will count the votes, and how.”

During the 2004 Presidential Election we saw a strong and organized effort to disenfranchise our military voters by the Stalinist Democrats. Because the lap dog media helped them cover up the facts we’ll never know how many military votes Democrats dumped in the trash.
Next year we have Congressional elections that offer us a chance to begin to turn back the damage Obama’s election has caused. We have to work to pass a new law to protect military ballots. In 2008 efforts to pass, H.R. 2393, the Military Voting Protection Act which would protect our military’s voting rights were killed by Stalinist Democrats and Union Leaders – yes Union Leaders the phonies that wave America flags when they ask us to “buy American.”

WE CAN’T LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN

The latest numbers on military disenfranchisement are from 2006 and they are infuriating. According to the Election Assistance Commission a private organization, 990,000 absentee ballots were requested by overseas military personnel, but more than 660,000 never reached stateside election officials and of those that did, another 10 percent were not counted because they arrived too late – that’s too late from a combat zone. That’s too late from the front line in the shooting war on terror.
Maine and Vermont allow their prisoners to vote, and you can bet they have no problems voting. Studies show 87% of convicted felons vote for Democrats and 70% of military personnel vote Republican. Simple mathematics gives you the answer as to why our military’s votes aren’t counted. Don’t you think?
