Republicans with the Whip Hand

By Bruce Karlson

Nancy “Frozen Face” Pelosi finally admitted that the odious “health reform bill” is dead.
This further demonstrates that she is both a liar and a fraud, given her recent prognostications to the contrary. She should be pleased that Democrat voters are not the least put off by lies, corruption, racism, sexism, or incompetence. Her re-election is assured.

To the point: After publicly, and one can be sure privately, dismissing Republicans as excess and unwanted baggage in both Houses, the Democrats must now turn to them as supplicants. To wit: the Obamites and Liberals need something, anything that might be construed as reform to pass before November. Conversely Republicans have been happily campaigning against the Democrat version of reform for months with obvious success.
Given that, Republicans would do well to put the screws to every Democrat possible by declining to participate unless the deck is stacked…their way. They should agree to nothing absent tort reform and an end to the self-serving prohibition against interstate sale of health insurance. Those two things alone will serve the interests of the nation and the party in several ways. Premium costs will be substantially reduced and more medical professionals will open up shop.

The pimps and whores (Does John Edwards come to mind?) at the trial bar will cease lavish funding of the Democrats and their political clout will be reduced, perhaps substantially. The cozy relationship between the insurance industry and the Democrats which created fiefdoms in various states will no longer pay off for either.
Small business and individuals in California or New York will now be able to consider a health insurance plan absent mandates, with concomitant higher premiums, for sex change, abortion, massage therapy, etc. Decisions will take a step in the right direction, putting responsibility and accountability closer to the user.
So the Democrats need something to pass and the Republicans prosper in the absence of passage. When the Democrats come knocking, Boehner, et al. must send them to the servants’ entrance, a purgatory of sorts. Let them stew and understand that, according to Michael Barone, only 103 of them are now in “safe districts”.

Scott Brown’s victory was not a canary in a coal mine, it was a soaring eagle! There is no doubt that Republicans need a robust and bold platform for the next “go rounds”. They must, however, first destroy the enemy that so recently threatened them and, more importantly, our nation. Sun Tsu’s dictum must not be forgotten, as this is war.

The Liberals only hope is that the Republicans will again snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. One wishes to dismiss that as idle nonsense. Long suffering Republican/Conservatives, however, will be a less sanguine. Republican leadership could still manage to needlessly cede the field one more time.
God spare us if they do…

Leftist media is still shamefully ignoring questions about who torched Sarah Palin’s church Part II

By Suzanne Eovaldi

Longtime Wasilla Bible Church Pastor Larry Kroon is set to lead this morning’s Sunday service on the one year anniversary of his congregation’s return after a 1.5 million dollar arsonist’s fire nearly demolished their beloved church right before their 2008 Christmas celebrations. Yet he stressed this past Wednesday that, “By God’s grace, we’ve bounced back.” He said things are going well for the 1,000 worshippers, one of which on occasion includes Sarah Palin.

The former governor of Alaska told Fox News’ “On the Record,” that she wished for transformation of the horrible evil of the Christian church fire into an act of good that would help others. The forgiving nature of Palin and the church’s pastor cries out for honor from a most dismissive mainstream media, a media that seemed satisfied to report this horrible event merely once if at all.

Part of being Christian?

Pastor Kroon seemed to accept such attacks on Christian churches as being part of today’s public arena. His 31 years of ministry are testimony to the love and forgiveness he now extends. The church’s mission statement enjoins people to enjoy God’s grace to the fullest measure. The welcome of the congregation’s rich diversity tells worshippers to “wear whatever you feel comfortable in. . people wear everything from business casual to jeans to carharts.”

Deafening silence from the media

Certainly a congregation that is accepting of music styles from traditional hymns to bluegrass to original compositions does not engender the vitriol an arsonist would need to pour a fire accelerant near where innocent women were creating family scrapbooks. Yet, the mainstream media in the lower 48 essentially have settled on a one time mention of the fire 13 months ago, and in typically politically correct fashion, ignored horrible details deliberately targeting a Christian community.

A basic agenda driven lack of curiosity

Being a 50′s journalism school type, I am hard pressed to understand reporters who seem satisfied with yes, telling the public of a fire, yet no, not telling of the heinous details surrounding this horror. Can you imagine such reporters ignoring this fire had the name of the church been Trinity United Church of Christ and the pastor’s name having been Reverend Jeremiah Wright?

Perhaps, the insidious danger of political correctness is at the heart of the malaise in which we now find our once well informed democracy. Thomas Jefferson told of the importance of newspapers to the body politic because an informed citizenry is the very fabric on which a functioning democracy depends. But in analyzing the press coverage of this church fire in Alaska, my 50′s news reporting rules seem now to be anachronisms. How could this same duplicitous media select out coverage of every detail of the Palin family’s activities and of the virulent ankle biting by operatives seeking to play gotcha ya with any ethics violations that could be lurking in the governor’s mansion halls, yet remain silent when a certain Christian Church was attacked with such evil?

What did you do to defend American freedoms yesterday? What will you do today and what do you plan to do tomorrow?

Palin’s Church attempted murders still a cold case: imagine if this was Rev. Wright’s church! Part I

By Suzanne Eovaldi

The smoke blackened Christmas wreath that hung near the fire torched front door of Sarah Palin’s church 13 months ago is long gone, but her sincere apology for any unnecessary attention she may have drawn to the Wasilla Bible Church remains characteristically translucent. Palin told Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren she learned her church was burning by a friend’s visit at 1:30 a.m. on December 13, 2008. Yet Wasilla Mayor Verne Rupright still insists, “It had nothing to do with Sarah Palin.” He discounts connection to a “homosexual healing conference” the church co-sponsored, but he admitted a state arson investigation has hit only dead end and is not working on any other leads. The heinous fire crime at the Christian Bible Church languishes in the cold case file.

Wasilla PD investigator Ruth Josten didn’t return several calls. Last January the Collins Report posted an exclusive interview with WBC elder Tom Ryan that exposed many horrible facts still being ignored. The Report’s editor, a retired NYPD officer determined early on this crime was much more than simple arson, but instead was a six count attempted murder 1, apparently committed by an outside hired assassin.

These facts are still being ignored: 1. wires for phones, fire alarms, and water systems were slashed from INSIDE the building, near the control room 2. fire accelerant was spread across each church exit to prohibit escape of the five women and one teen girl trapped inside. Another poignant detail Palin told Fox’s “On The Record,” was that the women were working on family scrapbook projects around 9:30 p.m. at the time the fire was torched on December 12, 2008.

Just how would some hotshot reporter from the lower 48 have felt if his wife or daughter had to flee for her life by running through fire?

How silent would the writer be this morning? Details of an indifferent mainstream media follow in Part II of this report.

What did you do to defend American freedoms yesterday? What will you do today and what do you plan to do tomorrow?

It’s True, Mr. President – Sometimes Less Really is More

By Fritz Wenzel

It’s like trying to lose weight by eating Snickers bars or trying to save gas by driving out of your way.

It just doesn’t work.

When President Barack Obama said the recent “Massachusetts Massacre,” where Republican Scott Brown won election in a heavily Democratic state, was the result of a White House failure to “get our message out,” he spoke in contradiction to what national polling suggests.

A recent Wenzel Strategies survey showed that, if given the chance for an election “do–over,” just 44% would vote for Obama for President today. Another 45% said they would vote for an unnamed opponent. However, what is more telling about this data point is that among two key demographic groups – independents and men – Obama performs much worse.

Among independent voters, who are critical to Obama’s success, just 37% said they would vote for him today. Just 40% of men said the same.

This isn’t because no one knows what Obama’s doing. Rather, it’s because they know too well what he’s doing. The statistics tell the story: Obama has conducted more interviews and appearances in his first year than any other President in modern history.

When the Food Network broadcasts from the White House, it’s a sure sign of over–exposure. But, as last night’s State of the Union message demonstrates, the sick patient doesn’t agree with the diagnosis or the remedy. The best way to lose weight is to eat less. You save gas by driving less. You cure media over–exposure by staying away from your teleprompter and the cameras. Tumbling poll numbers are whispering to Obama that less is more. If nothing changes, later this year, they will be shouting a harsher message.

By now you probably know of the plunge in Obama’s job approval rating from 69% the day after his inauguration to 46% now, a steeper and faster slide than any President in modern history. What these poll numbers say, in large part, is that the public has lost confidence in the President. Confidence, or trust, is only rebuilt when there are tangible results that correspond to the words being spoken.

Just not trustworthy

We have plenty of words from the White House, but nothing tangible to prove the words are trustworthy. In fact, some of what comes out of the Obama administration is downright counter–intuitive. The White House says we will save money with health care reform, but the bill will cost almost $1 trillion dollars. The White House says the economy is improving, but unemployment and economic growth continues to be unexpectedly weak.

The proof is in the polling

There was great criticism that the mainline American press corps did little to challenge the Obama administration during its first year. In fact, the news coverage was almost fawning all the way through his entire presidential campaign. Like an undisciplined child who doesn’t want to grow up, the Obama administration has soaked up all this favorable coverage, never preparing for the day when the coverage might turn against it, and it might have to fight to keep its place in a changing world. Now that coverage is turning sour, it is understandable that their child–like reaction would be to offer more of the cuddly Obama that proved so adorable just one short year ago. But, like a kindergartner who behaves like a baby, it’s not so attractive anymore. The proof is in the polling.

Taking back the Senate? Oh YES we can!

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

The news gets worse for Democrats as it gets better for America. Political pundits that are reading events in the public area with a clear eye are all but declaring the Democrat control of the House over. The real question has now become: what about the Senate?
Given the very inflammatory issues on the table this year as compared to 1994, 2010 is shaping up to be a tsunami that will envelop the Democrats at every level including the Senate.
After Brown, we’re at 41 seats and need ten more, a formidable but certainly not impossible task.

Here’s where they come from; first the low hanging fruit: North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Nevada, Arkansas and Colorado; that makes 47.

Tougher but very doable: Illinois Connecticut and New York (special) – these make 50.

The first two are iffy, but we have nine month for things to get worse for the Democrats. In Illinois Republican Kirk is the right candidate to take back the seat against any Democrat in Scott Brown style. In Connecticut Blumenthal has great numbers but he won’t after he has to start answering questions about national issues. He is just as liberal as any liberal Senator and it will show. Rob Simmons can win.

Surprisingly the special election in New York continues to be overlooked. Kirsten Gillibrand is under 50% AND is super glued to ACORN’s political arm the Working Families Party. She voted against defunding ACORN. Despite his personal troubles Larry Kudlow will challenge Schumer, and pin him down making Chuckie answer questions as no other challenger can.

The final two come from “hanging fruit” flips for chairmanships: Joe Lieberman for Foreign Relations, Mark Pryor for Agriculture. To survive these Democrats will then HAVE to play “Let’s make a deal”: Tester (Energy) Webb (Veterans), Risch (Agriculture too).
Cushions: winning California – Boxer and Indiana Bayh. Both are polling poorly against NOBODY. Bayh was “facing” Pence(now out) who hadn’t even announced. Fiorina is just 3 points down against Boxer. Of course if Boxer goes down things will be so bad for the Democrats that none of this will mean anything, but that’s nine months away.

There are several things that have to happen to make these elections go our way, but the potential is there because we may never have differences between the parties that are shaper than in anyone’s memory. At this point all of those differences cut against the Democrats and there is no reason at this time to think their fortunes will reverse.

AFL-CIO’s Trumpka brags Card Check will pass “soon”: but he’d better rethink this one

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

Big Labor thinks Card Check is coming back so it’s time to get ready to fight again. But based on recent trends we may finally be able to put a stake into the heart of this Marxist monster.

As his response to deep Blue Massachusetts thoroughly crushing Barack Obama’s socialist health care plans, AFL-CIO chief Richard Trumpka is bragging he and his union thug comrades will be able to ram through their “Card Check” scheme early this year.

Big Labor’s “Card Check” scheme is an insidious attack on the secret ballot that would force workers to vote either for or against unionizing their workplaces while being watched by union goons who would no doubt “help” them make the right choice

NLRB forced to back down

Over the weekend the very good news of a victory for America’s workers over the tyranny of Big Labor surfaced. “Right to Work” attorneys have forced the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to resume posting the results of decertification votes. These votes are being held at workplaces across the country by workers trying to cut the union tentacles that have continually squeezed the life out of the companies they are employed by. These postings spell trouble for Big Labor because they shout the truth about the public’s distaste for labor unions.

Since the early days of Obama’s Administration, the NLRB had been shilling for Big Labor by “neglecting” to make these results public. Now all of that is changing because with this encouragement workers all over will slam the door or union organizers trying to snake their way into their wallets. This is big trouble for the gangsters that run America’s labor unions. Without a Democrat law forcing Card Check on workers, unions will continue to shrink and lose their power to destroy our freedoms.

Unions becoming less and less popular

With membership already at record lows and fresh news of yet another 10% slide in union membership, Trumpka and his gang are justifiably worried.

His enthusiasm in the face of reality has just gone from ill advised to silly. But for people like Trumpka, forcing new workers into union membership, even with a figurative gun to their head, is a matter of life or death. He won’t let up so we can’t stop fighting him.

Richard Trumpka, is a classic union pig feeding with his snout jammed into the pockets of the hard working captives he pretends to represent. He holds his position on the board of the AFL-CIO illegally because he violated its rules forbidding board members from taking the Fifth Amendment in any Congressional investigation into union activities. He did that 13 years ago and there is no indication he will be sanctioned for this violation.

Trumpka is a man who lives in luxury pulling down $233,260 (as of 2006 the latest reporting year) while his members make an average of about 56,000. He is a man who is in for a series of rude surprises in the coming months; bet on it.

The French apparently stealing orphaned Haitian infants from hospitals right under UNICEF’s nose

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

The terrible earthquake that destroyed Haiti has also unmasked the “international aid community” especially the United Nations, as the frauds they actually are.

Last month the media largely ignored a Pan American Development Foundation report that “at least 225,000 children in Haiti have been sold into slavery as unpaid household servants.” This sobering announcement came as no surprise to the phonies in the United Nations. They know what the conditions are in Haiti, but “after all it’s just Haiti – and we can always blame the United States” seems to be the way these people think.

Now it’s worse

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) the very agency whose job revolves around helping the world’s under privileged and endangered children, tells us they have noticed that orphaned Haitian babies have been “disappearing” from hospitals. This UNICEF which no doubt joins France and the rest of the world in calling Americans “occupiers” of Haiti is reporting it thinks the “noble” French are merely picking up children and taking them home like bags of groceries! France it must be noted is reportedly fast tracking the “adoption” of at least 13 of these children. All of this “raises fears” of child trafficking among these people.
The UN’s Chief of Child Protection under UNICEF told a French news agency, “What we’re understanding is that large numbers of children who do not have such documentation are leaving the country. We have quite – I have to say – an alarming situation on our hands.”

So the normal condition of 225,000 children being sold into slavery in this dirt poor country is not “an alarming situation”, but western countries getting caught stealing children like so many shop lifters is not “alarming?”

Sure the situation in Haiti is total chaos but don’t Obama’s “international” friends have any sense of decency?

This worm even wants us investigated by the United Nations!

If we had any kind of genuine media in America this information would be side by side with reports of the French moaning and whining about Americans and how we are “occupiers” in Haiti.
Alain Joyandet a Minister in the French government charged “the United States was giving priority to its own military and relief flights ahead of other nations’ aid flights.” Joyandet, a member of Nicholas Sarkozy’s ruling UMP party, went as far as demanding a U.N. investigation into U.S. aid efforts. “This is about helping Haiti, not about occupying Haiti,” Joyandet charged.

America and Americans standing tall as always

Please pray for the people in Haiti, they need so much. Donate whatever you can to whichever organization you trust to help them. The American Red Cross announced that it has received $25 million in TEN DOLLAR contributions. American private citizens have donated more than many countries have. As always if America doesn’t do the what needs to be done, no one will.

What did you do to defend American freedoms yesterday? What will you do today and what do you plan to do tomorrow?

Absent Mitch McConnell, Brown’s Victory Would Not be Enough

By Bruce Karlson

Mitch McConnell is the most overlooked Senate Leader in quite a while. He is phlegmatic in the extreme. His neither smiling nor frowning countenance simply does not “do it” for TV viewers. He speaks precisely and succinctly, rarely making prognostications but always defending Republican/Conservative principles.

To the point: While all the pundits, Republican professionals and an enormous majority of Republican voters were trying to keep each other’s spirits up, McConnell had multiple fingers in the dyke. Odious Harry Reid was offering gifts rivaling Satan’s offerings to Jesus, for the votes of any Republican Senator. He particularly went after the Ditz Sisters and he managed to hook Arlen Specter. He and his ilk in the White House, along with bags of union and tax payer money, needed to buy ONE VOTE.
The Republicans were down and almost out. The MSM had written them off and Liberals were more rude, contemptuous, and overbearing than usual. They were convinced they did not need Republicans so why bother with them? After all they won and had the public in their pockets. Specter is an albatross wherever he goes so we shall not count him.

Through all this, unflappable Mitch kept the Republican Senate in line. He knew only one defection would be enough to cede our nation to second rate thugs, possibly for generations. Ergo, if even one nervous Democrat could not be bribed (wishful thinking obviously) he still needed every vote.

The job of Majority and Minority Leader in the Senate has been accurately described as akin to herding cats. McConnell kept his “cats” moving in the same direction making Scott Brown’s win decisive. It could be argued that Brown’s campaign would have been less persuasive if he were not the potential antidote to socialized medicine, and the only one at that.
In any event, McConnell never lost sight of the prize nor hope that decency could prevail. Given that, his tactical responsibility was clear and he managed it with aplomb.

There will be no paeans of praise for Mitch McConnell, but without his focused steady hand on the tiller, Brown’s victory would have been a day late and a dollar short.

Our Senate Republicans have stood tall and strong, now it’s our turn to stand and fight with them.

Obama can’t take our guns, so he’s got his UN and international stooges trying: we can’t let them

By Suzanne Eovaldi

Stealthy but well funded United Nations maneuvers to strip American citizens of their legal right to keep and bear arms are well underway.

The UN agenda is to push countries to adopt a universally binding treaty that would supersede our U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment. A very important video by NRA investigative reporter Ginny Simone explaining this threat has been removed from youtube, but you can still access it at www.ammonland.com or on the NRA web site. Simone takes viewers to the London headquarters of IANSA-International Action Network for Small Arms- a global network to stop “proliferation and misuse of small arms and light weapons.” She shows us IANSA is plotting to tear down the Second Amendment.

IANSA head Rebecca Peters said, “It’s time (for) tough, tough gun laws,” after she successfully pushed through a binding gun ban treaty in Australia. Simone reports Peters has “an endless supply of dollars” to wage a successful anti gun propaganda campaign here in America.

Seemingly endless amounts of dollars appear available to IANSA from over 800 NGO’s-non governmental organizations- with Japan donating $1.87 million and Britain giving a 2 million dollar grant. “U.S. citizens don’t have the blanket right to use guns as they see fit,” declared Amnesty International’s Henry Smith.

Slow but steady erosion worldwide

In NYC Rick Cowan, a retired hero detective, was stripped of his right to carry after a simple automobile wreck. Even though Cowan infiltrated the mob and got medals for his bravery, he now is on the department’s No Carry list. Law abiding Louisiana citizens saw their guns confiscated after Katrina, and the Philippine government just instituted a nationwide gun ban to stave off violence for an election that won’t happen until May.

A North Carolina anti gun Democratic state senator reportedly shot a home intruder in typical liberal do as I say, not as I do fashion. In 2009 AmmoLand.com reports that “USA gun owners buy 14 million guns, more than 21% of the world’s Standing Armies COMBINED!” While IANSA cites celebratory gun fire for causing mayhem for children at holiday times, crime stats in Britain and Australia spiked after private citizens were forced to surrender their small arms “to the government’s saw blades and blast furnaces” according to Simone.

An average American responding to these gun grabbing moves said “Never before have the American people been in such peril of losing everything.” Who can disagree?

RightMarch.com rally to welcome “41” to Wash. : celebrate and caravan behind Sen. Brown on I 95

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

Last Tuesday the “Scott heard round the world” was registered in Massachusetts the home of our last American Revolution. Just as the original patriots did at Lexington and Concord, a blow for freedom was struck by average Americans demanding their country be returned to them forthwith.

RightMarch.com which has been a huge force in helping spread the word on our side over the past year, is organizing a historic “Welcome Senator Brown” event to celebrate the arrival of the 41st Senator we need to hold off President Barack Obama’s Socialist plans until November when we will completely clean house.

Since no one knows the Senator’s plans or exactly when “41″ will be arriving in Washington to sit in Ted Kennedy’s old office (doesn’t THAT sound great?) RightMarch.com is asking all American patriots and especially those on the East Coast to make plans to join them at short notice.

The general plan is for vehicles to form up behind “41’s” truck and follow him South down I 95 picking up more and more patriot vehicles along the way.

Bill Greene the Chairman of RightMarch.com has asked that those who can’t make this drive line the roadway with flags and banners encouraging and congratulating Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts (now doesn’t THAT sound GREAT as well?) our newest leader in the fight to get our country back.

To help the RightMarch.com staff plan this historic event please email them to pledge that you will “Be there when America needs me” to show the Left we mean business and we will not back down from Barack Obama Harry Reid Nancy Pelosi or any of the other Socialists trying to destroy our America.

PLEDGE NOW THAT YOU’LL JOIN THE CARAVAN TO
WASHINGTON, D.C. WITH SCOTT BROWN!

http://www.RideWithScott.com

Yes WE can!

This is a great opportunity to show the Left who we are and MAKE the media tell the truth about our size and strength. If you possibly can take a day from your schedule please do. The freedom we all love, that has been so hard won, is on the line. Be there, because America is calling.
