Reid hides his $22,000 a day ad blitz failure: the faster he spends, the lower his numbers fall

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

Stick a folk in him, the fake from Searchlight is done.

Harry Reid is about to walk the portside plank of the Democrats’ sinking ship. He’s languishing ten points behind his likely Republican challengers in head to head test runs, and his approval rating is a dismal 38%. The people of Nevada have joined the rest of America in turning their backs on Harry Reid and there’s apparently very little he can do to change their minds.

Expensive ad blitz fizzles

In August Reid’s panicky response to his crashing numbers was a “promotional bombardment.” His handlers flew into high gear to save him. They used TV ads and direct mail to vainly promote a man, voters no longer want representing them.
In a release last Friday (to make sure it would fade into the folds of Saturday’s unread newspapers) Reid’s campaign admitted it ended 2009 in terrible financial shape and things have gotten worse. His ad blitz cost him $22,000 a day and hasn’t yielded any tangible benefit.
Reid collected less than $2 million for the final quarter of 2009, and spent all of it on this image rebuilding failure.

Voters in Nevada running away

Harry Reid’s “in state” fundraising is a barely significant 28% of his cash collections over the last year. Out of state money is nearly 2 ½ half times that but this isn’t the fullest extent of the rapidly fading Mister Reid’s woes. Among the locations sending the most money are the Washington DC-MD-VA-WV areas which indicates he is getting money from other Democrats when HE should be sending money to them.

But of course they are in trouble themselves, and with so many other “mouths” to feed they might decide to stop supporting an obvious loser, further greasing the skids for the fake from Searchlight.

Why Reid can’t reverse course and sprint toward re-election

A review of the list of Reid’s biggest contributors by industry leaves him defenseless against charges of selling out Nevada and America to special interest groups. It explains his headlong Christmas Eve push to pass Obama’s healthcare scheme – he was just doing what he has been paid to do.

As a group lawyers, who benefit handsomely from Obama’s most devious plot, have contributed more than double what any other group has kicked in. The other groups that have helped line Reid’s pockets are: Securities and Investment, Health Professionals and Lobbyists. They will be tough to explain away.

What did you do to defend American freedoms yesterday? What will you do today and what do you plan to do tomorrow?

1942: Vidkun Quisling is appointed Premier of Norway by the Nazi’s who were occupying the country. Quisling was so hated that when in a single night the people of Norway wrote his name on thousands of surfaces across Norway they turned the name Quisling into an insult meaning the worse kind of collaborative traitor.
