Like so many “community” service groups the Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center must hold annual fundraisers. Unlike other groups, this bunch has been linked to Islamist terrorism so it would seem inconceivable that two Virginia Democrat Congressmen, Jim Moran ( a man engulfed in scandal and domestic violence issues) and Gerry Connolly and the Democratic National Committee Chair Tim Kaine would be among the featured guests helping to fill the seats on April 3.
The Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center which is in suburban Washington, is circulating a flyer with the names of these national Democrats as well as two Fairfax County Democrats as its invited guests.

Some Democrats slithered away

The original list of invited Democrats (gee no Republicans – now why would that be?) included Virginia Democrat Senator Jim Webb and Democrat State Delegate Kaye Kory.

When Frank Gaffney of Biggovernment.com contacted them pointing out that their names where being used to raise money for a group known to have significant ties to al Qaeda, both apparently cut their ties to the terrorist Center.

Dar Al-Hijrah a longtime viper’s nest

In 2001 an Imam connected to the Center, Anwar Al-Awlaki was a terrorist recruiter whose efforts brought at least three of the 9/11 attackers into the plot that crashed the Pentagon and brought down the World Trade Center. He was also the religious mentor for Major Nidal Malik Hasan who murdered 13 people in his cowardly attack last year at Fort Hood Texas.

Still more recently Al-Awlaki was an Email “terror coach” for Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who attempted the Christmas Day 2009 in flight explosion of Northwest Airlines Flight 253.

In spite of all of these red flags just a few months later these Democrats are helping to keep this viper’s nest of hatred for America solvent and able to continue plotting the destruction of our country.

What these Democrats were told

Mr. Gaffney reports that he informed all of these Democrats that Shaker Elsayed, who is the current Imam of the Center is an open supporter of Hamas an organization dedicated to the extinction of Israel and that he has told his members that, “Islam forbids you to give allegiance to those who kick you off your homeland, and to those who support those who kick you off your homeland…We do have license to respond with all force necessary to answer our attackers.’ ”

Webb is a member of the Senate Committee on Armed Services and Connolly is a member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Because they are Democrats neither of these facts make any difference.

Moran has a history of anti Semitism as shown by this “blame it on the Jews” remark in 2003, just before the invasion of Iraq, “If it were not for the strong support of the Jewish community for this war with Iraq, we would not be doing this. The leaders of the Jewish community are influential enough that they could change the direction of where this is going, and I think they should.”

A March 22 – 24 Wenzel survey of 792 Likely Voters ( + – 3.46) is both encouraging and sobering for Republican chances of retaking the Congress.

Voters’ attitudes toward the TEA Party movement(TPM).

Not surprisingly, Democrats disapprove 69/21 but Republicans and Independents strongly approve of the movement 84/13 and 68/28 which is good news.

Men are pro TPM 66/32 but women, who vote more frequently, are lukewarm at 50/42.

The West isn’t encouraging at 45/45, but the East is 54/39 Midwest 61/34 and the South 68/31 are increasingly encouraging data items.

Those earning under 50k favor TPM 59/34 but at the upper income level of 125K+ the support is very strong at 63/36.

While the TPM is disapproved by 49% of Blacks Wenzel found 36% of Blacks support TPM. This is good news, but Whites, who are the largest voting group favor TPM 60/36. That’s the better news.

Is America on the right track or wrong track?

The Right track/Wrong track, is the most telling measure of coming voter behavior. Wenzel found polar opposite numbers for Democrat and Republican perceptions. Democrats think things are just fine by a 76/17 count. The very good news is that Republicans and Independents are sour on the direction of the country by 7/92 and 35/60 respectively.

Congressional job performance numbers

In generic terms over all Republicans lead 39.8 to 36.2. This is a nice spread but it shows we are not yet in the totally commanding position we need to be in to have the big night we want on November 3.

Are you more/less likely to vote for a Obamcare “Yes” voter?

More/less: Blacks 80/14, Whites 38/60; all Democrats less 17%. Republicans: 10/89 and Independents: 33/63.

Clearly we’re in a good position, but complicacy could be deadly. There is much work to do.

Rasmussen has reported better generic numbers but he might be an outlier because his split has been consistently at or above a +6 for the GOP. Tell your friends and your neighbors.

If you don’t mind hearing Pelosi brag, “See people LOVE this bill and this election proves it” don’t bother reading this.

Blind anger about Obamacare isn’t enough. Talk and hand wringing isn’t fighting back; it’s self delusion. Helping conservatives win Congressional seats is fighting back.

Now we have a real chance to support a candidate whose platform directly opposes the freedom killing Obamacare. Do we let Obama continue to forcibly redefine our lives, or fight?

Supporting Ed Lynch in the first national referendum on Obamacare, in the special election in Florida’s 19 CD, Wexler’s old seat. Wexler is gone because Lynch had the guts to sue him in federal court and force him to admit he lives in Maryland not Florida as he had lied for years.

Now Lynch is running against ultra liberal Ted Deutch Wexler’s handpicked successor who will keep voting like Wexler unless you step up and support Lynch.

When Scott Brown announced nobody gave him a chance. Our support got him a clear victory. Brown changed the game on healthcare and scared dozens of Democrats. Now we can do it again.

How Lynch can win

The 19th is 50% Democrat, 25% Republican, 25% Independent. Many of those Democrats are seniors who depend on Medicare which has been cut sharply by Obamacare. Many of them could stay home or cross over to Lynch. The enthusiasm deficit among Democrats is very large. Just 53% said they’d vote in November while 63% of Independents and 83% of Republicans said they would vote.

A new Florida poll shows 54/ 34 against Obamacare, but among seniors it is hated, 65/25 overall and 62/34 among Independents. The demographics are there.

Lynch pledges to repeal Obamacare, Marxist Deutch pledges to support it.

Talk is cheap: here’s a chance to actually fight back.

Those who were Boy Scouts in the 1950s remember the “left handed smoke shifter.” Of course it doesn’t exist, but to an 11 year old “tender foot” searching for one was a rite of passage. It wouldn’t work on anyone over 11 so it was a rare good natured joke that could be played only once a year or so.

The news that the United States Energy Department and Environmental Protection Agency (USEDEPA) had eagerly accepted fifteen bogus “new” energy saving inventions brought back memories of when the times were simple but the government’s people were smart.

They put a man on the moon did they not?

Today unfortunately the times demand smart people but all we get are simpletons.

Government investigators (a job not unlike shooting fish in a barrel) report the dopes running the USEDEPA had accepted as viable products such ridiculous “inventions” as a gasoline powered alarm clock!

The investigators declared the USEDEPA “vulnerable to fraud and abuse.” Really?

What tipped them off? Was it the “Energy stars” awarded to the charlatan passing off an ordinary space heater adorned with a feather duster and fly strips as an energy saving room air cleaner? Maybe it was the “computer” monitor given a star after “an exhaustive” 30 minutes of examination?

Asked for a comment, an EPA spokesperson gave us a glimpse into the workings of the type of bureaucratic mind that will soon be deciding whether or not you and I are “worthy” of continued government health care. “EPA officials confirmed that because the energy-efficiency information was “plausible”, it was likely that no one read the product description information.”

So some halfwit thought a feather duster and a fly strip would make a great room air cleaner!

May heaven help us, because Obama won’t.

“Listen up boys and girls: in spite of what you are thinking your government is really on top of things.”

The Government Accounting Office noted that there will be a “ more rigorous upfront screening process.” The USEDEPA ( isn’t it great how this spells “Used EPA?”) reassured us that we should have confidence in the Energy Star label. Continuing their self-congratulatory remarks they said a review undertaken last year found 98% of the products “ met or exceeded the Energy Star requirements” [which] saved $17 billion on… energy bills.” Doesn’t that make you feel better? Why that’s an extra $17 billion we can used to fight Obamacare.

Again, may heaven help us, because Obama won’t.

Stand up for America; stand up with your family friends neighbors and “ friends” you’ve never met. Let’s all do something amazing together. Let’s all be heroes together as we go about restoring and saving our nation.

Once proud Detroit, the apogee of American inventiveness and entrepreneurship, now looks like Dresden after an Allied bombing raid. To understand the destruction visited on the Motor City view this youtube video : www.lewrockwell.com /blog/lewrw/archives/46523.html.: scene after scene of abject despair recalls rapper Eminem’s lament of the darkness of Detroit.

Videographer Steve Crowder shows us gallons of antifreeze, the stuff meth is made of, and climbs decrepit stairs where fresh packs of syringes are stacked amid broken glass and utter destruction. The camera focuses on a big mosque carrying Crowder’s theme that 41 years of liberal politicians and policies have destroyed the city that once had America’s highest median income, and rapacious unions have drained out Detroit’s life blood, leaving wronged residents, uneducated youth, and unbelievable urban decay.

He debunks the canard that Detroit failed because its products weren’t green enough. Car buyers want SUVs and trucks. Even though the American auto industry produced more greens than other countries, Crowder said the stultifying union salaries and benefits piled $1,200 onto each car sold rendering Detroit unable to compete in price. He also called out the teachers’ unions who care more about protecting their own jobs than educating to graduation Detroit’s unfortunate children.

“A once great city was brought to its knees by government bureaucracies and unions.”

With only 25% of its students graduating from high school and the average home price at $5,700, what hope does America’s once proud icon have of surviving? Crowder says for the last 41 years, beginning with Mayor Jerome Cavanaugh, Detroit has been in the throes of failed government model cities programs that began with Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society experiment. Entire generations of entitlement junkies who see no reason to work for a living and who vote solidly for Democrats have left Detroit in ruins.

An apocryphal quote attributed to Scottish history professor Alexander Tyler details the fall of the Athenian Republic because a democracy “..is always temporary and only will exist until voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. Loose fiscal policies bring down the world’s greatest civilizations which complete a cycle beginning and ending with bondage. Early stages of a free society go from bondage to spiritual faith to great courage which brings liberty. Such liberty then results in abundance which leads to complacency which causes apathy.”
Democracies collapse into a dictator’s iron grip.

Does Detroit our once shining city on capitalism’s hill now presage a putrid hell for all of us locked in liberalism’s largess?

You are obviously a drooling halfwit that we don’t need or want among us as we go about working to regain the America Obama and his Stalinist Democrats have stolen from us.

Collins Report posts are tough and hard hitting but fair essays explaining our take on the issues conservative readers care about. I ask my readers to stand up for America and refuse to watch while Barack Obama and his Democrats work to destroy the America I love. Yet never do I ever ask readers to threaten anyone or commit violence to make a point. I’m a retired New York City Police Officer. I don’t tolerate such ugly talk. Two recent stories coming from Oklahoma make it clear it’s the home of the free and the land of the brave.

Randy Terrill, R-Moore an Oklahoma State Representative has taken a big step toward ridding the state’s public schools of the illegal aliens who are taking up space, demanding services and pushing out American citizens. Under Terrill’s proposal all public schools in Oklahoma will be required to verify the citizenship status of each of its students. They are to report their findings to the state’s Department of Education in a timely fashion.

Not surprisingly both a Hispanic group from Tulsa and the city’s Public Schools Superintendent have jumped to criticize the plan.

Spokespersons for the Tulsa Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (THCC) called Terrill’s bill (House Bill 3384) an unfunded mandate and a step toward permanently denying illegal immigrants the government school education they are presumably entitled to receive.

Speaking like a child who wants what he wants purely based on the grounds that he wants it, a spokesman for the THCC said, “By denying undocumented students a basic education, we deny them the ability to live within civic institutions and structure and foreclose … the possibility they will contribute in even the smallest way to the progress of this state.”

In response Representative Terrill said he “….. has no firm plans for using the data that would be collected by the schools.” He did say, however, that he expects the data to show the cost of educating illegal immigrants to be “stunningly high.”

Oklahoma swinging the sword of the Tenth Amendment

This week a resolution was passed by the Oklahoma House of Representatives that directs Oklahomans be allowed to vote on a state Constitutional amendment on whether or not they should be forced to opt out of Obamacare’s required participation.

The biggest obstacle to the Marxist putsch against our freedoms by Obama and his Democrats is the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution.

There are three groups who clearly share the guilt for plunging our country into Obama’s sinkhole of Marxism. The numbers don’t lie.
African Americans voted 95% for Barack Obama, many because he is a “Black man.” Blacks never deny this and in fact are rather proud of having voted for a Marxist because of his race. If White Americans voted 95% for McCain the election would forever be called the “Day the American idea died” and justifiably tagged as a disgusting display of racism.

The Black Churches fell in line and shamelessly violated laws to raise money for a man whose only connection to them is his skin color, which was good enough.

To help Obama “break through the barriers of racism” Blacks closed their eyes, ears and minds to vote for a man who promotes keeping them forever angry at America, socially crippled and poorly ed
ucated by union controlled schools.

Jewish vote

There’s no evidence America’s Jews are not patriotic. It’s their inability to see past the allure of socialism long enough to understand its dangers that is the problem.
Jewish Americans voted 79% for Obama, yet they’d be the biggest finger pointers if the rest of White America voted 79% for McCain. This huge vote from America’s de facto guardians of Israel gives Obama, a clear enemy of Israel, his “green light” to threaten or abandon our friends in Israel.

Phony “conservatives”

Those 20% of self identified “conservatives” who voted Marxist Democrat in 2006, to “Teach Republicans a lesson” must share the blame. They patted themselves on the back saying “I’m a real conservative so I CAN’T vote for my Republican Congressman because of the gay Republican in Florida.”
We are now suffering from their lesson and can only ask when we will get the next one.

Each group endangered us. Two to show us who’s boss the other to avoid being called racists.

When you stand up to fight for America remember recognition is always the least important reward. When you fight for the freedoms that come with being an American you will be shoulder to shoulder with the same type of patriots who fought hand to hand against the British to found our great nation.

BOHICA : HERE IT COMERS AGAIN!

Healthcare was just the beginning of our Second Revolution/Civil War.

A Heritage Foundation report sets the costs of granting amnesty to millions of aliens illegally in our country at $999 billion. Yet enforcement of existing immigration laws which would spur self deportations could be accomplished for “only” $14 billion. Amnesty will cost about 70 times as much as getting tough and slamming shut our border gates.

Myths about the “benefits” of amnesty

1) Across the board amnesty for illegals will boost tax revenues because these workers will become taxpayers who will begin to pay their own way.

Wrong: The jobs held by most illegals are bottom level low paying positions which will contribute little to government treasuries. Moreover paying their pittance would make them eligible for governmental benefits worth several times their contributions. To fund the immediate eventual obligations caused by this huge influx of new takers, will cost $1tillion and add 5% per year until the first wave hits Social Security in 2056.

2) The costs of enforcement to rid us of illegals would be prohibitive.

The CBO estimated it would cost $1.9 billion a year for five years and with an inevitable 5% per year increase the total cost could actually be about $13.5 billion.

Wrong: The House bill designed to start mass self deportations because of new strong enforcement of immigration was recognized for its potential to be successful by its target group. Proving they are NOT of this country so therefore they are oblivious to what was going on, thousands of illegal aliens marched in Washington last Sunday to demand its rejection.

The bill H.R. 4437 “The Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005” was loaded with common sense steps to protect America.

It called for:

Ending the “catch-and-release” policy for all persons apprehended at our borders.
It requires the Department of Homeland Security to reimburse counties within 25 miles of the border for the costs relating to illegal aliens;
facilitate removal of aliens who reenter the country illegally after having been deported.

It includes mandatory minimum prison sentences for offenses related to illegal entry into the United States, additional port-of-entry inspectors canine detection teams and a mandatory E-Verify program ( forgery resistant identification cards ) 6 years from the date of enactment.
