Congressional Democrats are showing which side they are on when it comes to standing with the American people and our combat troops or with their Labor Union masters.
The House Appropriations Committee, which is controlled by Democrats, is holding back $33 billion in supplemental war funding designated to support operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. They’ve halted the process while they try to add $10 billion in payoffs to California and New York so they can keep paying their public employees instead of making budgets cuts. Every penny of that $10 billion will go to unionized Public Employees.

Because they are wholly owned by the Public Employee Unions in each state, Democrats want to buy union support with our money and couldn’t care less about putting our troops at risk.

The main beneficiaries of this swindle will be the teachers unions whose toxic influence has these states frozen in a meltdown no one has the will to stop.

No more bailout/bribes

With bailout legislation becoming increasingly more unpopular, Big Labor’s Democrat messenger boys and girls in Congress know they don’t have the votes to pass another so they are stooping to this selfish stunt.

Trying to sneak this by and help the so called Blue Dog Democrats who still believe they have a chance of surviving in November, Chairman David Obey has even cut the double-cross from $23 billion.

Republicans fighting back

The Republican members of the Committee have made their intensions to fight this underhanded move so clear they have the Democrats in a panic. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer has stopped deliberation and consideration because the Republicans have vowed to vote “present” on this measure thereby killing it if the $10 billion tack on remains. That puts Hoyer in a bind because he would have to rely on liberal (read anti American) anti-war Democrats who won’t vote to support our troops PERIOD.

“..scaling back defense operations.”

Defense Secretary Robert Gates is very worried about what will happen if this infusion of cash is not given to his Department. He told The Hill “If Congress does not approve the funding by July 4, he warned, the Pentagon would have to start scaling back defense operations.” Gates continued by adding, “[W]e could have a situation where we are furloughing civilians and where we have active-duty military we cannot pay…”

Unfortunately the odds of seeing the Democrats stand with America instead of their Big Labor masters are not very great.

The 1994 election delivered a 53 seat pickup to House Republicans and gave us an understanding of the value of generic ballot surveys. This is a measure of whether Americans will vote for a Democrat or Republican in the next Congressional election.

Since Democrats ALWAY have a “generic” edge in expressed voter preference both sides agree that if the Democrats are at +2 the Parties are essentially tied. The 1994 election saw the Republicans at +6 which it led to their landslide victory. Over the years, the generic index has been a fairly accurate predictor of election results.

Nevertheless the “enthusiasm gap” a new measurement of voter sentiment measuring the percentage of Republicans and Democrats who are enthusiastic about voting has emerged.

Enthusiasm drives voters to the polls, and “generic” preference could end up being merely wishful thinking absent any motivation to actually vote.

Enthusiasm sliding to the right

A March Washington Post/ABC News poll showed Democrats with a 76/75 enthusiasm edge compared to Republicans as they looked forward to voting in November.

That edge is long gone. Gallup now reports Republican enthusiasm 28 points higher than Democrat enthusiasm. This is the highest spread they’ve recorded since the +17 Republicans enjoyed in1994.

An NPR poll completed by Democrat stalwart Stan Greenberg used only Likely Voters to derive his 71/44 enthusiasm lead for Republicans looking to November.

Gallup spoke directly to 1014 “adults” who would respond to its telephone survey to get its 27 point gap. This spread is real.

Generic index measure

The very careful Scott Rasmussen is reporting an 8 point (44/36) Republican advantage in his generic index.

The Harris Poll heard from 2,227 adults during its recent on line survey and reports a 34/30 generic lead for Democrats.

NPR’s Likely Voters generically prefer Republicans 49/41.

The numbers suggest it makes no difference what preference Democrat voting Americans have because there is no indication they plan to vote.

The election of 2010 may prove the generic ballot index, standing alone, is no longer relevant in the absence of meaningful enthusiasm to actually vote.

Face the truth

Our nation has been taken over by people who hate our America, the one that has been the beacon of unmatched personal freedom and economic power.

The new “ Restoring American Financial Stability Act (RAFSA) of 2010″ is a fraudulent slush fund designed to aid the Marxist Democrats’ shock troops of destruction. It will rob our banking system of billions of dollars and redirect them to “civil rights” groups like ACORN, so says an analysis completed by Investors.com.

We knew this was coming and here it is. This extortionist’s dream looks like Van Jones might have written it. RAFSA gives the lying tax cheat Timmie Geithner the power to liquidate banks owned by Middle Americans while exempting minority owned Obama approved banks.

The decision to drop the hammer will be based on how much an institution had done to promote politically correct “affordable housing.”

When Alabama Republican Senator Richard Shelby tried to strike the exceptions for minorities, Dodd accused him of not wanting to extend credit to minorities. This is THAT type of bill.

Marxists’ dream

RAFSA requires a “Diversity Czar” in each federal financial agency and regional bank.
On demands of Maxine Waters each institution will have an “Office of Minority and Women.”
The captive institutions will be forced to recruit from “historically black colleges and Hispanic-serving institutions,” and “urban areas.” Moreover these captive banks WILL place want ads in Black and Hispanic newspapers.

Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB)

The CFPB is a new bureaucracy created in this monstrous bill whose mission is to see that “traditionally underserved consumers and communities have access to lending, investment and financial services.”

RAFSA will give us another monster, “The Office of Fair Lending and Equal Opportunity”, designed to maintain “nondiscriminatory access to credit.” Now what could THAT mean?

This entire 2000 pages of unread cruel and oppressive tyranny plunges our banking system into a nightmare where professionals with years of experience will be forced to knuckle under to squads of “Diversity” police every day.

This bill is Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac on steroids. It will kill whatever is left of our economy unless we take back our country and repeal it.

President Obama took up one third of last week’s prime time speech about the Oil Spill to politicize America’s worst environmental disaster. Using our misery to campaign for his leftist Cap-and-Trade legislation infuriates many who want to hear what he’s doing to plug the “damn” hole. “Never let a good crisis go to waste,” says Obama’s top aide, Rahm Emanuel.

Renamed “The Power Bill,” this Cap and Trade scheme has reemerged in the Senate with only Democrat support. Lindsey Graham dropped out of sponsorship in a snit over Harry Reid’s attempt to re-introduce Amnesty in time for this year’s elections.
Obama, said, “Under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.” And estimates say for every green job created, our economy will lose more than two jobs!
In anticipation of being able to fool Americans, a gang of Chicago thieves formed Chicago Climate Exchange (CCEx) which has now merged with Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) which is run by Europeans who think THEY can fool Americans into believing THEIR “Climate Change” lies. Nevertheless, Americans want no part this fraud.

Obama’s dream

CCEx crooks sold out to the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) conning its European suckers out of $600 million. At the center of this decades old plan to trade residential air, according to Glenn Beck is our President. “Barack Obama was the one on the board of the Joyce Foundation that secured the initial funding for this project.”
CCEx’s April decision to sell out was apparently was fueled by CCEx’s inability to gain U.S. traction. “This has been a rough five years,” he said. European carbon traders miscalculated the United State’s willingness to hand over their meter boxes to a government full of insiders standing to reap HUGE personal and business profits.
The ICE CCEx merger revealed Congressional squeamishness about forcing any more big socialist government down the gas tanks and into the electric currents of private U.S. citizens already polling way away from such Obamanation initiatives.
An reporter who concentrates on energy issues said the “concern about fraud in the system” is also a major concern of Americans who fear this bold socialist one world energy bill.
In an ironic sort of way, is the Oil Spill the only thing able to stop Obama’s march of the U.S. toward his global socialist tyranny?

The Country has an urgent need for Republicans to take back the House

4) Immigration

70% of the country supports the Arizona immigration law.
Endorse this policy and stand with Gov. Jan Brewer as she fights illegal immigration.

5) Energy

Do not abandon off-shore drilling. It is also exceedingly
important to restart the existing rigs in the Gulf locations before they
depart (never to return). We need the oil and want to get the 40,000
workers back on the job. Utilize Lindsey Graham’s plan as your model.

6) National Security

The time has come to rebuild relationships with our
allies and eliminate the Obama appeasement policies toward our
enemies. Keep a strong Defense Department, support our brave troops
and recognize we are in a war on terror.

Organizations, pay attention to public opinion, Bring forth your ideas.

A snifter clink to Michael Cembalest of JP Morgan for his study of Cabinet Secretaries: State; Commerce; Treasury; Agriculture; Interior; Labor; Transportation; Energy and Housing & Urban Development. It puts flesh on that which we all know: Barak “Chicago” Obama sees business as a cash cow to keep the corruption machine oiled. After all, how could Michelle have been paid north of 300k a year for a part time gig at a hospital without some help? And this was before she was proud to be an American!!!! Sinatra could have been singing “Chicago, Chicago, My Kind of Town,” to the Obamas.

Since the Wilson (and wife) administration, roughly half of Cabinet appointees have come from the business world. Republicans tended to have more but even FDR had fifty per cent. Three Democrats stand out with JFK having 28%, Carter 31% and Clinton 37% (along with the most millionaires). Obama comes in at less than 10%. That is change that does not offer much hope.

JFK, like Obama, was a feckless dilettante who never had a real job, aside from PT 109…and he managed to allow that to be cut in half. One cannot easily characterize Carter (peanut farms are regulated and subsidized – it is IMPOSSIBLE to lose money). Clinton’s history does not include military service or gainful employment. Ergo, since we tend to hire those whom we know, they appointed others who, like them, had made careers of slopping at the public trough.

Even given that, prior to the Obamites, Democrat presidents recognized that the nation’s prosperity depended on a robust business climate. In consideration of that, they appointed some Cabinet Secretaries with business experience to keep the engine purring. It simply made sense to have a mix of perspectives.

Here comes the “hopey/changey” president who promised to focus “like a laser beam” on “fixing the economy.” Insofar as less than 90% of his cabinet appointees have ever had a real job (lemonade stands, paper routes, and private law practices excepted), Obama’s laser needs adjustment. Perhaps he plans on doing it himself. Nevertheless, that, would be problematic as his private sector experience is quite limited. Perhaps he considers threatening bankers and their families who did not pay tribute business experience. After all, he did have to locate these recalcitrant bankers’ homes, pay some professional demonstrators and get them there – Clearly an entrepreneurial effort. It must be gratifying to see wives and children peek out the window in fear.

Obama has prospered in the fetid world of Chicago politics. In that world, the private sector need only call to find out the required bribe. To Obamites, actually producing a product is somehow dirty, as compared to their selling our children’s future in order to buy votes.

Indifference or contempt for those who create the things that keep us employed and living well is now his norm. To BHO and Consigliore Rahm, for example, publicly scorning BP and other evil providers of crude while taking their money (BP contributed $1 million to Obama’s 2008 campaign) and privately promising that it will all blow over, is simply business as usual.

Hope and change, anyone?

Draw your line in the sand. Resolve that today will be the day you start to fight back, because the number of tomorrows America has is dwindling down to a precious few.

The thought is disturbing but must be faced: Barack Obama’s administration is rapidly coming apart.

Each day he’s being exposed as an incompetent fraud and it’s driving him to be increasingly reckless and dangerous. He’s quickly morphing into something resembling a wounded animal.

Now we’re hearing rumors Obama is about to use an executive order to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens so they can vote Marxist/Democrat in November. This will preserve Obama’s power, and stress the healthcare system enough to stampede Americans into his single payer scheme.

As serious as this attack on our liberties will be, amnesty will also bring death and infirmity to our midst. Illegal aliens bring deadly diseases.

In California, a state soaked with illeagals, there’s a Whooping cough epidemic. The number of cases of this contagious disease, which is deadly to babies, is moving toward a 60 year high. Is there any doubt this disease has been brought to us by illegal aliens?

New TB epidemic?

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has identified ten countries that are bringing Tuberculosis, a disease we’ve already beaten, back to our shores.

Mexico the worst offender, brings more than twice the TB cases as the second place Philippines. Infected illegals are already coughing their way through our schools hospitals and public transportation centers and more will come.
Treating a TB patient costs between $250,000 and $1million meaning amnesty and dumping millions of illegals on our healthcare system will be devastating.

The festering diseases filling the slums of the poorest Mexican states will hitch a ride to our neighborhoods and we won’t have any say in the matter.

Atlanta: “sanctuary city”

Recently there have been large outbreaks of TB in two schools near Atlanta which is a proud “sanctuary city” for a flood of illegal aliens.

Aside from TB illegal aliens are bring hepatitis dengue fever LEPROSY and the very insidious Chagas which steadily destroys its victim’s heart and internal organs.
Obama’s amnesty will bring death to us from diseases we have already virtually eliminated but will now be forced to use vital resources to combat.

Draw your line in the sand. Resolve that today will be the day you start to fight back, because the number of tomorrows America has is dwindling down to a precious few.

If you are tired of what is happening to your future and the constant threats and attacks on our liberties stand up and fight.

Obama and his Marxist Democrats have put us in a very serious situation. They won’t stop hacking away at us unless we make them stop.

Granting amnesty to illegals will not only shred our Constitution but it will seriously threaten the very health of our families. Stories like this can’t be made up.

When it comes to disgraceful attacks on our liberty by Barack Obama, it’s becoming hard to separate fact from fiction. This one defies explanation.

To fill an opening on the U.S. 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, Obama has nominated Robert Chatigny a man who defended vicious serial killer Michael Ross but later claimed he “forgot” having done so.

Aided a confessed serial killer

Ross was so clearly guilty that he confessed to the raping and murdering of eight women, none of whom were older than 25 years old. Ross so strongly reeked of guilt that in 1987 he was convicted in just 86 minutes and in only 4 hours the trial jury recommended his execution.

The murders Ross committed were a well know horror in the mid 1980s throughout New York and Connecticut where Chatigny lived. The story captured the attention of everyone in the Criminal Justice Community. In 1992 Chatigny was part of a legal team reviewing Ross’s case, and doubtlessly working to free him. He had to have read the shocking details of the eight rapes and murders Ross confessed to committing. Those confessions must be chilling. Nevertheless, Chatigny claims he “forgot” his letter exchange with Ross. That’s simply not credible.

In 1995 as a U.S. District judge in Connecticut, Chatigny participated in a conference call in which he pushed Ross’ lawyers to try harder to delay the murderer’s execution. The lawyers involved report the he actually threatened them with “I’ll have you law license” to get his way.

When challenged as to why he did not recuse himself in the 1995 review of the Ross case Chatigny said he “forgot” having worked to free Ross!

This makes him either a liar or an incompetent fool, either way he is not someone we want as a judge anywhere let alone as a federal judge.

Of course the Democrat controlled Judiciary Committee voted 11-7-1 to send this nomination to the full Senate. One of the dissenting Republican Senator Tom Coburn’s questions to Chatigny went unaddressed. Coburn asked, “I just wonder why you think your behavior in this case–which is pretty extraordinary–why that behavior would warrant a promotion to a much more senior court.”

The rest of honest patriotic America wants that answer as well. Will that answer ever come? Not as long as criminal coddling Democrats rule our lives.

Fight back or be enslaved

Draw your line in the sand. Resolve that today will be the day you start to fight back, because the number of tomorrows America has is dwindling down to a precious few.

This is great news! WalMart’s victory is a big loss for the Big Labor gangsters.

Sagging under the weight of double digit unemployment rates with no relief in sight, Democrat controlled Chicago has made a deal with the unions “Great Satan.”

Monday the Chicago’s Council announced a deal that will bring at least three dozen of union hated WalMart stores into the Windy City for a mere $20 million bribe to be paid to “local charities.” The employees at these new stores will make the minimum $8.75 an hour.

No matter how the unions, the media and the Left try to spin this agreement, make no mistake this is a big kick in the teeth for Organized Labor and it clearly underscores how quickly their power is waning.

Here are the essentials points of this deal:

Chicago’s Democrats have apparently cut their masters in Big Labor out of this process.

WalMart would be required to take a number of steps that seem all but certain to clear the way for the mega store’s move on Chicago.

WalMart will open “several dozen” stores at both new and existing facilities.

WalMart will create about 10,000 permanent jobs at its stores “and 2,000 temporary construction jobs.” All construction will be done by union workers only.

The $8.75 hourly wages paid at these new stores is .50 more than the current Chicago minimum wage, but the company agreed to raise its hourly rate to match what Target and Costco pay.

The “local” charities receiving WalMart’s bribe are those focusing on “anti hunger measures” which in Chicago means corrupt local politicians will get most of the money and WalMart will have no fingerprints on the payoffs that will continue for five years.

Braying the union line

Alderman Joe Moore expressed his disagreement with the deal saying he doesn’t believe WalMart’s promises about raising pay and opening stores. “What assurance is there?” Moore brayed to show his loyalty to his union masters.

There is no indication of whether WalMart will be granted the same tax incentives that Costco and Target stores in the City are enjoying which means the Chicago Council will wring full tax money out of them.

Not surprisingly there were no union officials available to comment on this defeat. This is a big loss for these gangsters no matter how you look at it.

The deck is getting smaller and Big Labor’s dream of destroying America is down to a few precious cards. They know the massive backlash against their Marxist plans is building.

The showdown is coming quickly.

Union hopes of seeing their underhanded Card Check scheme become a reality now rest in the clammy hands of Craig Becker a union puppet lawyer Obama snuck on to the National Labor Relations Board as a recess appointment.

“Workers have no rights”

Becker is a lackey for both the AFL-CIO and SEIU so his anti American, pro union credentials are in perfect order. He has often said and written that employees should have NO rights or say in a union takeover of their workplace. In Becker’s view only union bosses should have a say in such a process.

So far despite paying $60 million to buy itself a Democrat Congress Big Labor’s efforts to destroy workers’ freedoms with forced unionization through Card Check have gone nowhere. The thuggish system of canceling workers’ rights to a secret ballot on the question of unionization is so un-American that even the Marxists Democrats in the Congress can’t get it passed.

“Electronic voting” in a Union hall?

To ram through Card Check unions are looking for Becker to approve an “electronic voting service.” This new trick would move voting from the actual workplace where traceable paper ballots would be used to a union controlled location where electronic voting which is more easily perverted would take place. The sole purpose of this change would be to insure that workers could be coerced and intimidated by union goons threatening them to “the right way”.

Like a 1930’s gangster movie

Close your eyes and you can almost “see” Edward G. Robinson walking an old seamstress up to an “electronic” balloting machine in a union hall basement.

It’s easy to foresee the purple shirted goons of the SEIU “helping” workers vote at these distant locations. And if the count doesn’t come out right, the machines can always be “adjusted” to achieve the “proper” result. This outrageous anti American assault on our freedoms has to be stopped. These union gangsters have to stopped once and for all.

Please think of what you can do to stop these union criminals from destroying our nation. It’s up to you because only the combined power of ordinary American patriots can overcome the advantages these bums have.
