This is a cautionary tale of what happens when Democrats take complete control of any level of government.

Recently leaked federal court documents reveal the systematic extortion that has become a necessary part of doing business in the City of Detroit.

Based on the testimony of Synagro representative Rayford Jackson, dealing with totally Democrat controlled Detroit meant greasing the palms of anyone in Motown’s government who stepped forward.

Jackson has even reported buying the vote of former City Council member Martha Reeves 68 , who rocked in the 1960’s as Martha and the Vandellas. Now Reeves may have “Nowhere to run” to take a phrase from one of her hits.

Jackson bribed City Council members’ political consultants and even aspiring Board of Education candidates. Among their usual demands were jobs, contributions to their campaigns and favored projects.

So far Jackson who swears he put nearly $350,000 into greedy palms and four others have pleaded guilty in this probe.

His bribe bought a hug and a vote

The investigation centers on Detroit’s shake down of Synagro a sludge hauling firm. The extortion was led by former Detroit City Council President Monica Conyers (Congressman John Conyers wife) who was convicted in federal court and sentenced to a term of prison.
Synagro “won” a $1.2 billion contract by buying Conyers, Councilwoman Reeves and others.

Records show that on the same day Reeves received a $1000.00 campaign contribution from a Synagro associate, a wire tap caught Jackson bragging he had cinched the deal with Reeves who hugged him and pledged her support for his project. Twelve days later Reeves joined the 5 to 4 majority in approving the contract.

Democrats trying to do to America what they’ve done Detroit

The grim truth is Democrats have destroyed Detroit, a once great American city. Detroit’s destruction provides another reminder of the dangers of one Party rule, especially when it is Democrats who are given unchecked power anywhere. The cesspool that is Motown is still not drained. The damage these people have done will take years, if ever, to fix. If we aren’t vigilant the Democrats will make the whole country run like Detroit.

Pledge your support to America.

If you’ve had enough fight what the Marxist Democrats want to do to us because the life of America depends on you and all of us.

Pray for America. God will hear us and save our country from the Marxists if we ask for His help. We are fighting powerful foreign AND domestic enemies.

Would that this was an April Fools trick, but it’s not. There’s still more bad news from Detroit.

Detroit is a cesspool of corruption and is beyond credible efforts to save it from its inexorable slip into oblivion.
Given the massive budget shortfalls facing Democrat controlled cities around the country Detroit aka “Cesspool City” will be only the first of a string of failed cities plaguing America’s revival efforts.

The list of outrages coming from Cesspool City are the things horror movies are made of.

*Coleman Young’s twenty years in office which started and accelerated the “White Flight.”

*The election and reelection of Kwame Kilpatrick who eventually was convicted of corruption and draining City funds for his personal use.

*Former City Council President Monica Conyers who will be going to federal prison for extortion and bribe receiving fittingly involving a sludge removal company.

*A School Board President who has a tenuous relationship to written English and is a former Special Education student.

*A real estate market that features free or $1.00 homes that still can’t be moved.

*A Public School System that discovered at least 250 previously unrecognized phantom employees who could not materialize to personally sign for the first paycheck distribution last September.

*A Public School System that has the lowest performance levels of any city in the country.

Now comes the news that the FBI has uncovered a scheme that was able to defraud the Detroit Public School system of at least $57 million by diverting the money to private accounts. Some of the parties that received the money stolen by former School’s Director of Risk Management Stephen Hill were his friends and/or family members of his assistant.

When Hill retired from Cesspool City he threw himself a $40,000 200 guest going away party.

When will America pull out of this poor excuse for a City? When will we see the end of Cesspool City?

Once proud Detroit, the apogee of American inventiveness and entrepreneurship, now looks like Dresden after an Allied bombing raid. To understand the destruction visited on the Motor City view this youtube video : www.lewrockwell.com /blog/lewrw/archives/46523.html.: scene after scene of abject despair recalls rapper Eminem’s lament of the darkness of Detroit.

Videographer Steve Crowder shows us gallons of antifreeze, the stuff meth is made of, and climbs decrepit stairs where fresh packs of syringes are stacked amid broken glass and utter destruction. The camera focuses on a big mosque carrying Crowder’s theme that 41 years of liberal politicians and policies have destroyed the city that once had America’s highest median income, and rapacious unions have drained out Detroit’s life blood, leaving wronged residents, uneducated youth, and unbelievable urban decay.

He debunks the canard that Detroit failed because its products weren’t green enough. Car buyers want SUVs and trucks. Even though the American auto industry produced more greens than other countries, Crowder said the stultifying union salaries and benefits piled $1,200 onto each car sold rendering Detroit unable to compete in price. He also called out the teachers’ unions who care more about protecting their own jobs than educating to graduation Detroit’s unfortunate children.

“A once great city was brought to its knees by government bureaucracies and unions.”

With only 25% of its students graduating from high school and the average home price at $5,700, what hope does America’s once proud icon have of surviving? Crowder says for the last 41 years, beginning with Mayor Jerome Cavanaugh, Detroit has been in the throes of failed government model cities programs that began with Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society experiment. Entire generations of entitlement junkies who see no reason to work for a living and who vote solidly for Democrats have left Detroit in ruins.

An apocryphal quote attributed to Scottish history professor Alexander Tyler details the fall of the Athenian Republic because a democracy “..is always temporary and only will exist until voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. Loose fiscal policies bring down the world’s greatest civilizations which complete a cycle beginning and ending with bondage. Early stages of a free society go from bondage to spiritual faith to great courage which brings liberty. Such liberty then results in abundance which leads to complacency which causes apathy.”
Democracies collapse into a dictator’s iron grip.

Does Detroit our once shining city on capitalism’s hill now presage a putrid hell for all of us locked in liberalism’s largess?

Stand up for America; stand up with your family friends neighbors and “old friends” you’ve never met. Let’s all do something amazing together. Let’s all be heroes together as we go about restoring and saving our nation.

The very life of American is in our hands. Let’s all stand up for our beloved America and be worthy of the name American

Detroit is the future of America’s Democrat controlled cities.
Last week Michigan State Representative Rashida Tlieb and Monica Conyers, Detroit’s former City Council President, showed us the ugly face of doom for Detroit. After fifty years of unbroken Democrat control, Detroit is quickly dying.

The 32 year old Tlieb, whose biography says she is the oldest of 14 children born to Palestinian immigrants, had the nerve to offer a bill to extend Worker’s Compensation benefits to illegal aliens!

Tlaib whose name means “a person in need of something” in Arabic, the language of her heritage, represents the Southwest portion of Detroit, a city whose mayor and local newspaper say is suffering from third world like 50% unemployment.

How people can come to America and decide they know best how our tax money should be spent and doled out to people who have no business even being in this country, totally evades explanation. Rashida Tlieb is stabbing American workers in the back, but Detroit’s robotic voting Democrats will re-elect her anyway.

During the same week former City Council President Monica Conyers was sentenced to 37 months in federal prison following her admission of bribe receiving because she sold her vote on a city contract.

Conyers is represented by a lawyer supplied to her free of charge because she is “indigent” despite being married to John Conyers the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.

At her sentencing she yelled about “not be made a scapegoat” and “I don’t feel I should go to jail for something I didn’t do” despite her plea of guilty and the allocution of guilt that goes with such a motion. At the height of her rant Conyers added, “I may be guilty of extortion, but I never took a bribe.”

Is it any wonder Detroit is dying?

Conyers has vowed to file an appeal which is not going anywhere since her plea bargain included a waiver of appeal rights, but then why wouldn’t she? We the American tax payers will be footing the bills for her. People like Conyers steal and steal from cities like Detroit until their victims are bled white.

She and Tlieb have greased the skids of a major American population center. Could a Palestinian Islamist terrorist do any more damage to Detroit with a “dirty bomb?” Not likely. These Democrats give us a peek at what will soon be happening to other cities across the country that are head locked by Democrats.

This has got to be child abuse. A special education student running the schools?

Detroit school board president Otis Mathis can’t write in English. The man charged with educating the last 90,000 school kids left in the disappearing city can’t express himself in a simple Email.

Need proof?

Grab a red pencil and read this recent Email written by Mr. Mathis.
“If you saw Sunday’s Free Press that shown Robert Bobb the emergency financial manager for Detroit Public Schools, move Mark Twain to Boynton which have three times the number seats then students and was one of the reason’s he gave for closing school to many empty seats.”

His acknowledgement of difficulty composing a clearly written English paragraph is an understatement.

“[H]is communication issues.”

Mathis who was placed in a special education program in the fourth grade is a great example of Detroit’s refusal to recognize reality. Last January he was elected president of the school board by a margin of 10 to 1 over a University of Michigan academic officer.

That his graduation from Wayne State University was held up for TEN years because he couldn’t pass the required English proficiency test and had a 1.8 gpa in high school meant nothing. Mathis shouldn’t be able to teach a third grade class, let alone become the president of an entire school system. This outrage wouldn’t be tolerated anywhere else in America.

Damned either way

His colleagues call Mathis a good guy whose leadership skills are more important than his lack of qualifications. Nevertheless, herein lays the problem of trying to fix the Detroit school system. Anyone bright enough to be able to do the job is too bright to take the job. Since somebody – anybody- must be in the slot, for Detroit a former special education student will do.

Another Email
“Do DPS control the Foundation or outside group? If an outside group control the foundation, then what is DPS Board row with selection of is director? Our we mixing DPS and None DPS row’s, and who is the watch dog?”

When asked if he can read, a question no one would even think of asking the head of any other American school system, Mathis answered, “Yes, I can read. I’m capable of reading a lot of information and regurgitation…”

Today Detroit’s former City Council President Monica Conyers, wife of Congressman John Conyers, will be sentenced in federal court on her conviction for selling her vote on a city contract agreement. It’s the way things are done in Detroit. It’s the reason Detroit will not survive no matter how much the media Democrats and other liberals try to make believe it will.

Obama says: Tear Detroit down, please make it go away

We know Obama wants Detroit torn down. The UK Telegraph reports he has approached private organizations to manage the actual razing of large sections of many of America’s Democrat basket case cities including Detroit.

Fifty years of Democrat rule have left Detroit with these painful wounds.

*An unemployment rate that even its beleaguered Mayor Dave Bing has said “in reality it’s probably close to 50 percent.”

*A real estate market that doesn’t exist as evident by the thousands of houses that can be had for $1.00 or free.

* Most Police precincts rely on mandatory overtime just to get enough cops to man the patrol cars they need on each tour. Under current conditions the police don’t patrol, they just travel from “job” to “job”. They have no time for patrolling.

*The City’s teachers are being extorted to pay their own salaries by making interest free “loans” only repayable at separation.

* There are no major supermarket chains doing business in Detroit and people are being forced to grow their own vegetables in abandoned trash filled lots.

The Democrats can’t lipstick this pig. Detroit can be the gift that keeps on giving only if Republicans man up and use it. Michael Steele can saddle Detroit on the Donkey, and ride it to victory but only if he has the brains and imagination to pick this up.

Let’s jump on this issue

Get active in your Republican County Committee and make sure your voice is heard when it comes time to nominate a candidate for your Congressional seat. Don’t allow another Scozzafava mistake. We can’t afford to let one opportunity to take a seat back next year or any year from now on. We are in a fight for the life of our country.

When your candidate is selected and named roll up your sleeves and get to work. Tell your candidate to talk about how total Democrat rule has destroyed Detroit, one of America’s once great cities. The facts are there and easy to find. This year we have to nationalize the election so people understand that even if they like their local Democrat Representative he or she has to be voted out for the good of our country because we don’t want them to make America one big Detroit.

Make sure you can proudly respond when someone asks, “What have you done to defend American freedoms today?”

Detroit’s school system is disintegrating by the week.
Detroit has sunk to robbing its own teachers to scrape payroll funds together. Public School teachers are being extorted by their City with the full cooperation of their own union.
Under a proposal submitted for membership ratification each INDIVIDUAL teacher will be forced to “loan” the City of Detroit $10,000 in $250.00 increments ripped out of their bi-monthly checks for 40 weeks starting in January. These “loans” are repayable upon retirement or resignation WITHOUT interest.
If this story was happening under George Bush in a Republican state instead of in liberal Democrat Detroit Michigan it would be the lead story across America.

Bad choice; worse choice

The alternative plan, in case the victims turn this one down, is for the school system to cut teacher salaries by $36,000!
How extorting $10,000 “voluntarily” from the teachers would solve the problem, but $36,000 involuntarily extorted from these teacher victims is required to solve the crisis wasn’t explained.

Maybe it’s time to just shut Detroit down

The National Assessment of Educational Progress that measures the mathematics abilities of grade school children released a report this week showing Detroit’s 4th and 8th graders had the worst scores in the country and the history of these tests.
Just 31% of 4th graders and 23% of 8th graders scored at or above grade level.
Fifty years of corrupt Democrat governance has finally crushed the last flickers of life out of Detroit’s schools.
Keep in mind Detroit is the city that recently saw its Council President (John Conyers’ wife Monica) sent to federal prison for SELLING her vote to a contractor.
A City without a functioning public school system can’t survive no matter how the media lies about the situation. People can’t live where their children can’t get educated.

It’s everybody’s fault so it’s NOBODY’S fault

Naturally all the liberal Democrats concerned blamed everybody else.
“The principals were to blame.”

“The curriculum was at fault.”

Of course the crooks in the City government WERE NOT to blame nor were the Democrat Governor Jennifer Granholm or the parents of the school kids who don’t do their job of seeing to their own child’s progress or attending parent/teacher nights. PTA meetings? Please.

The worst part of this story is that it can and very well might happen in your Democrat controlled city. The problem is liberal Democrats not school kids. Where liberal Democrats govern our towns cities and now even our nation; failures follow.
We can stop this creeping decay of our cities but not by sitting around and watching. Get educated. Vote in local school board elections. Help register all of your friends and family and get them to the polls on Election Day. Write letters and make phone calls. Make sure your Congressman’s staff comes to know your name.

Make saving America your part time job.
If you personally don’t step up and fight to save America we will lose our beloved country and all the blood sweat and tears shed to create this, the greatest country, the brightest light, ever known to mankind will be extinguished by the Chicago thugs running our government.

Detroit’s heartbreaking condition now means frozen slowly rotting corpses.

After fifty unbroken years of liberal Democrat rule Detroit has sunken so low it has no money to bury its poor who die without other means to be interred.

As the raging flames of Obama’s recession consume one city after another across the country without a doubt the worse off cities are those most controlled by Democrats and their masters in Big Labor.

Liberal controlled cities like Detroit Chicago New York Los Angeles and Atlanta all average higher unemployment then the rest of America.

The Labor Department says ALL 372 cities it surveys experienced notable increases in unemployment since last August. L.A. Chicago and Detroit lost the most jobs.

Detroit’s unemployment rose a stunning 7.8% to 17% meaning the present effective rate is probably close to 28%!

Redline clear: More liberalism equals worse financial condition.

Let’s be honest, when Black liberals run things and their town collapses White liberals run away from them. They always have and always will. Detroit East St. Louis, Oakland and Patterson New Jersey come to mind. White liberals cover themselves but not Black liberals.

At last report more than five dozen unclaimed slowly rotting bodies are stacked up in Detroit’s Warren Street morgue. The people are broke and the city is broke and there is no end in sight. The Bing administration acknowledges there is NO chance these bodies will be buried before January.

These are the facts of today’s Detroit. You haven’t heard much about either of these stories because the media manages the news for Democrats instead of reporting the news for us. Is there any doubt we would see both of these stories leading off every network news show if we had a Republican president and a Republican governor in Michigan?

Spinning their mess to blame Republicans

Need proof these people never quit?

The CNN article this information about frozen corpses came from quoted Wayne County (Detroit) Medical Examiner Carl Schmidt as saying “The increase in unclaimed bodies is not due to an increase in murders — though the rate remains high — but due to natural causes.” Of course not, that would mean the Democrats would be responsible for the condition of the city.

Instead he added “… many of the deceased didn’t have health insurance or could no longer afford medication for the chronic medical conditions” ergo its Bush’s fault. Of course – why didn’t I think of that?

Schmidt sagaciously closed with this keen observation: “There are many people with sad lives… But it is even sadder when even after you are dead there is no one to pick you up.”

I agree. Even after you are dead the Democrats are a problem for you.

When he saw the Nazis’ death camps Dwight Eisenhower was so moved by anger and embarrassment he ordered the gathering up German townspeople to force them to face what they had done.

After five decades of continuous Democrat rule Detroit is literally and figuratively a third world city. It is a dung heap every liberal in America should have his/her nose rubbed in so they can never again “blame Bush” or deny responsibility for the disgusting results of their dearest fantasies. The latest news from Detroit brings me to near tears.
Detroit an American city; can’t feed its own citizens. People are hungry in the genuine sense, not the phony liberal inflated numbers sense. Detroit doesn’t have a single major chain supermarket. People are forced to “shop” at small corner stores.
We know the awful numbers about Detroit, staggeringly high unemployment, thousands and thousands of foreclosed homes, blocks of rubble where people once lived, but incredibly it’s gotten worse!
People are actually growing vegetables in the vacant formerly junk covered empty lots dotting the town. Think about that! People in an American city are growing food in empty lots and living like characters in a bad science fiction movie!
What’s left of the quickly hallowing out middle class are living like hippies on a commune because ferociously destructive liberal policies have driven off the major supermarkets whose operators likely ran away from robberies and shoplifters coddled by the liberals who ruled them.
Urban farming is now supporting Detroit’s families!
Have these liberal Democrats no shame? Free food pantries are doing what the city of Detroit can’t. A private group located 20 miles from town has had to step in. Why would a private group have to come into an American city to feed people? Where the hell is Mayor Bing?
An agency that distributes food has seen an up tick of 18 % in demand Michigan’s Department of Human Services doling out food stamps is doing 14% more volume since Obama’s election.

The liberal party line of course is that now people are eating healthy foods! One observer leaked the truth however. He said the situation is especially depressing because the rest of Michigan’s surrounding areas have ample food supplies. It wouldn’t occur to these liberals that the difference between Detroit and the rest of Michigan is that the state hasn’t been run be liberal Democrats for fifty years, but it has gone sharply down hill since they elected an all Democrat state government.

Detroit’s death spiral began with Coleman Young’s failed administration.

From 1974 until he left in 1994 Detroit became the quintessential liberal Democrat city. It offered nothing but high crime and low prospects and accelerated White middle class flight.

When the under skilled and overmatched Kwame Kilpatrick was carted off to prison the Motor City virtually ceased to exist. Now after 50 years of inept Democrat political hack administrations Detroit is among the worst places in live in America.

For the past three years FBI statistics have shown Detroit is the murder capital of the nation. Per capita it is more dangerous than Baghdad. Even the outgoing fired Police Chief went home to find his house ransacked by burglars. There are neighborhoods in the city so desolate “the police haven’t patrolled [them] in years.”

The situation in the city they call “Motown” is such that a huge section has been described as “30 square blocks of urban prairie.”

Detroit’s poor condition and decimation is hard to imagine.

These facts paint the picture of what 50 years of Democrats has brought

There are over 16, 000 foreclosed homes in the city, many of which have been taken over by squatters much as could be expected in the old West’s ghost towns.

In January Detroit’s unemployment hit 22.2%!

Even before the full destructive force of Barack Obama’s Marxist policies have been felt, a Detroit real estate agent reported selling a house for a single dollar. He had at least four more $1.00 homes, 1228 houses for sale at under $10,000 and 209 of them under $1,000!

The median selling price of a house in Detroit has tumbled from $66,000 to $5,800 since 2002.

Fifty years of swallowing Democrat lies has gotten Detroiters ever increasing misery. Now they must take responsibility for their votes.

Detroit is a special case because it is an isolated specimen of what happens when people are elected because the liberals in the Democrat Party have arranged their victory.

John Conyers wife Monica is a perfect example of the damage liberal Democrats have done to Detroit and would do to America unless we fight to stop them.

Mrs. Conyers, the chairwoman of the Detroit City Council is the spouse of House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.). She has pleaded guilty to federal bribery charges because she sold the deciding vote to award a $1.2 billion contract to a Texas sludge removal company.

While she will be spending about 3 years in federal prison for this, the fools who voted for her would re-elect her in a heartbeat. The only unforgivable crime Black voters will hold against a Black politician is being a conservative Republican.

For all these years the Democrats have been in charge but they have blamed Republicans for the city’s decline. When will Black Democrats admit they have been taken by the Democrat Party? Probably never; we’ll see more Detroits before we see them get it right and accept the truth.
