Sarah Palin is scheduled to speak at the Southern Young Republican Conference in April. Her book tour managed to avoid “blue” parts of the country for “red’. She is sitting on a minimum of 6 million dollars for the first installment on her book. Individuals waited hours in awful weather to have her sign a copy of the book.

She has made the requisite non denials of her intentions vis a vis running for President. The Democrats were using Alaska’s ethics regulations to make her life miserable and sink any chance she had for national prominence. Their antics simply made it easier for her to leave the governor’s office as they provided a plausible reason. There is not much doubt that, even with her unquestioned love of Alaska and its people, she was anxious to hit the national stage absent McCain’s “suits”…and Nicole Wallace. The Democrats simply made it easier.

The Republican suits have just given her a nudge in the right direction also. By a large margin, the Republican “leaders” chose her fifth as their choice for a nominee. Romney was first. We should be surprised that DeDe Scuzafava or Charlie Christ did not make the list as this bunch clearly knows how to pick winners!!! Their sniffing contempt is a clear harbinger of good news for Sarah.

It is a long way from here to the nomination and Tim Pawlenty is a credible adversary. The rest may be forgotten except by Republican “leaders”. The public is up to its collective eyebrows with politicians, spending, half truths (in Obama’s case, no truths), spending, pork, interference, and taxes. Did I fail to mention corruption and self dealing?? After almost 80 years of accession to expanding government and reduced individual freedom, it has awakened.

For the first time in living memory, regular citizens on the RECEIVING end of pork are objecting. This is heartening in the extreme, but it is very late in the game. Our resource is depleted and what is left is in the planetary pawn shop, which has China as the majority owner. The dollar has tanked, our troops are spread thin, and encumbered with too many politically correct flag officers.

The nation needs a bold new approach in which problems are honestly identified, taxes lowered, government power reduced and terrorists imprisoned on our little sliver of Cuba.
There will be a lot of pain as we emerge from this self induced binge and we need a president that connects and is trusted. Trust is Palin’s most important asset and trumps her lack of foreign policy experience/knowledge. Her admirers believe that she would NEVER do anything duplicitous; that she would always put her commitment to serve ahead of self interest.
Those two things will be essential as we dig out of the Obamite mess. In short, the nation finally is ready for a real leader and Sarah Palin has, by recent actions, made clear she is available. She wants the job, and the nation needs her. As she might say: “Let’s go to work!!”

The giant sucking sound you heard when Sarah Palin descended the stairs of her plane carrying in her arms her new born son Trig was the collective punch in the gut she gave the country’s liberal feminists.

For in that image the liberal feminists felt the birth pangs of children they never delivered. Men are drawn to a lovely beloved mother, and their women emulate her appeal. Long have I plumbed the depths of my psyche seeking a reason for the inveterate meanness my fellow Journalism School “distaffers” heap upon Mrs. Palin.

Mr. and Mrs. Palin with their starting five have put in sharp relief the real reason why liberal feminists hate so much. How can a university professor call all marriage rape, another say all intercourse is rape, and another walk into her classroom smelling to her students offensively of BO?

Once a male college friend told me liberal women are “fun” to date (hint, wink) but not to marry. One of my male students told me he wanted a country woman for his bride. A female student wrote me that she wanted a career, a Lake Shore Drive condo, a Benz and a baby in that order but no man. There you have it–the liberal feminists’ angst.

For you may not alter the concave convex verities of life no matter how many degrees you carry. Is this why the liberal feminists project their soul sickness onto the Madonna and Special Child? Coming down from the North Country’s cleansing coldness, Palin is Alaska tough and is redefining the initials PC as “Politically Constitutional.”

The recent LA TIMES blog poll puts Palin within one point of the President’s 47% as she ascends and he descends the American political ladder. A new woman for a new time is winning.
